I didn't think of that, but that actually makes complete sense. Blizzard sees no need to scale any vanilla profession content, because it all still maps close enough to character progression while leveling. The fact that vanilla 1-60 got squished to 1-50 is small enough for Blizzard to just ignore vanilla profession level requirements if they want to.
While part of me wonders what the new vanilla zone level requirements will be (since that will affect what epics can proc from rare drops, and how far down drops from certain zones can scale), I think that will be a moot point as instance gear will outclass any world epic drop. I can't think of any vanilla proc gear that would change that.

I think what you're seeing is gear being displayed at sort of a "default" level. Kinda like how it is now and you gotta select > scales with level > slider to correct level but its just that the data set is incomplete on the SL site.

I hope so, wowhead isn't showing any scaling right now. Which seems plausible, given the squish, everyone is going to be so close in level. Even quest rewards are just showing the item original stats, no scaling. We have a few alpha tester, hopefully we can get some info.

- potentially more quests and dungeons in vanilla wow
- we can go through tbc portal legally after all these years
- be able to travel to icecrown to do "certain quests"
- head to cataclysm areas that we weren't able to access til now
- legally go to mop without any hassle
- legally get a garrison, potentially to level 2 without help from others
- ABLE TO GET THE CLASS ORDER HALL LEGION WEAPONS
- and on top of that, access to the bfa portals?
