yes. Its *gotta* be some kind of weird glitch that frostbolt disappeared and waterbolt is all of a sudden a mage spell and not a pet spell
But I choose to believe it isnt and im laughing at mages right now because i can.

TBC gear is covered in sockets, if we can pick one expansion to gear from. Thats the one.
Lvl 16 and 17 should become level 8s.

all current unscaled gear that requires level 20 (like DMF shoulders) is showing as squished to lvl 10, allied races start at 10, the starting zone is 10.
Even if current vet/f2p toons go to 8 or 9 (extremely unlikely), the starter cap is still gonna be 10.

50X20=120X
1000=120X
1000/120=X
X=8.3 with 3 being repeated
so that means either:
A) they round down to 8
B) they round up to 9
C) they let us at 10, because they wouldn't like the same issue like Wetlands and presumingly being the same level as the allied races.
but this is blizz's game and ultimately their say toward what we get and receive, fingers crossed for that lvl 10 or "choice C)".

You're assuming a linear scaling.
Blizz has already said itll be curved. I swear to god, we go through this like once a month.

Given blizz's history with following through (or not) with what they say over the past 16 years, they could also just divide your current level by 2.4, and not give a flying fig about your tears. Until the pack drops. saying "Its going to be level 10 guys" is no less speculative than any other theories.

Is it a guess? Sure. But an educated one.
And no tears, I promise. Looking through gear availability in currently listed dungeons, F2P and Vets are going to have to completely re-gear from the ground up. If I have to level a bit to hit the starter account cap, then its no sweat. I've gotta re-gear anyway.
The only thing I'd be sad about is starter cap being 10 and my toons ending up at like... 11

I'm just saying don't expect blizz to make any decisions based on whats logical, reasonable, or kind to twinks. There are many things in the world more predictable than blizzard devs.

if i was expecting them to be kind to twinks, id be saying that starter accounts will stay at lvl 20 all our gear will be GFd as BIS.
Ive never been let down in assuming blizz generally doesnt think about us and when they do, they treat us as a nuisance. I've been twinking since BC man. I know how this goes.

Got windfury though, so that’s interesting...we going back to the 2H enhance meme spec??

2hand enhance could be funny if windfury hits hard enough but I think its more or less dead.
I got bored a couple days ago and was trying to theorycraft my way into a sword/board style of enhance (because windfury only affects MH weapon anyway) and I think you could have fun with that as sort of a tanky frontline support with decent enough burst. But that relies on the bracket shaking out in such a way that a role like that matters.
