There we go, that's a drop on PTR.

So the zone looks a little different, there's no giant worm in the sky and the sky is clear. But the assaults are still marked, rares are there. They are still soloable.

Was this looted on a 120, or 50 in PTR? Do u need to unlock anything or complete something, or simply on a 50 go into a certain zone and farm rares?

Looted on a 50 that can currently access n'zoth rares. My guess is this wont be farmable at 10, its pretty far into BfA. You need friendly with the 3 zones and to do the island quests then the big sword stuff in silithus. But should be doable on a high level and sent to 10, from what I see so far.

I did it by looting one on a 120, sending it to my toon and copying it to PTR. On live there is a level restriction on the drop, on PTR it disappears - and as soon as you click on it in Boralus it spawns the neck quest.

I don't think there's been a ton of research into professions, yet. At least, I haven't seen any.

I would assume Alchemy is still best in slot. Not so sure about Engineering. It seems like we could get access to a pretty high level for professions, so it just depends on what is available for each profession.

kind of a hard one to figure out tbh.

one hand: all will be at max and we'll get all of the professions accordingly.

in another hand: they nerf professions due to the whole 100 restriction applied to vanilla professions and not the other professions since they are set accordingly.

but to answer that question: i'd say yes because of most of the other professions are either for transmog purposes or don't really have too much of an impact.

edit: had to double check that information, glad i did that.

I don't think there's been a ton of research into professions, yet. At least, I haven't seen any.

i'd believed i've talked about the inscription profession on this thread (think it's on the first page), it's not really useful for 10s and 20s unless your into transmoging and scroll buffs.

Jewelcrafting is gonna be big in SL. I think Engineering and Jewelcrafting will be the BiS professions, with Alchemy as another strong choice.

Eng is certainly still strong at the very least for the Utility of it. What I found on Beta is that Professions are so fucked (bugged out) that it will probably take until it's Live to know for certain. As an example, there are Bandages (Tailoring) that the Tooltip BEFORE Crafting it says Level 5, then the moment it's in your bags it's Level 30 or some shit. The same can be said for actual Tailoring items, even Classic Patterns.

I think professions will be a work in progress to work out once it goes live.
Blizz has really dropped the ball hard with profs.
WoD profs still can’t be learnt till like lvl 30 or 35 which considering we can level through woD from 10 is just daft.
They probably got a heap of interns with no co-ordination sorting through the professions

Im guessing it got pushed back, maybe Oct 6th. They scheduled some cross realm merging for the 9th and removed "release" from the PTR title.

Black Empire gear now requires level 50 after last night's update. Access to neck not available after finishing opening BfA quests. Shattrath gear unaffected as yet.

considering that the ptr has this up already, you can experiment on the professions to find out yourself.

Unable to q any dungeons at 10. Thought maybe it was disablled on PTR. Rolled a new allied race and started Legion. I can now Q random Legion dungeons. Looks like accessing that is related to starting that content. I was level 14 though but only Legion was avaliable so believe its more about the timeline you are on vs character level.

Quest reward went epic but i think we already knew that was staying. Stat diff was next to nothing, i think 1 ilvl higher.

Yep, also epic riding starts at 20 but if you are 40-44 right now you are keeping it on PTR.

ya i know i have 8 toons that have been sitting at 40 with 100% since day 2 of ptr. didnt make a dk on ptr till today and noticed the 100% speed at 10 and didnt remember seeing it anywhere on here
