Purj's PTR Enchant Findings

There is no need to flame, maybe he didn't read patch notes.

I'm not flaming, it's a legitimate question. It's been mentioned multiple times in the thread that enchants no longer have a level requirement in 5.4.

Someone probably already addressed this earlier in the thread, apologies for my plane laziness in not reading through.

I was wondering about aldor/scryer inscripion scaling, specifically the aldor Discipline inscription @ 19.

Big thanks for sharing all these infos! Although i'm not looking forward to get new enchants for nearly every item on my twinks^^

Sticky for now since it's so useful in the time leading up to 5.4 :)

So you are saying elemental force is by far the best. It makes sense because:

1. It ignores armor, meaning it'll damage plate wearers finely.
2. It has 10 RPPM, which is too much higher proc rate than other weapon enchants
3. When you dual wield it, it goes up to 20 RPPM, making it proc like every 3 seconds.

Now facts:
RPPM is weapon speed and instant attack independent.

And a blue post said:
  • This Real PPM is increased by your haste %. (The highest of your melee, ranged, or spell haste is chosen).
I think it means, original weapon speed isn't important, but with more haste, we get more procs.
Meaning, 2x Elemental Force and a haste approach will be really good. I mean, really kickass.
What do you guys think?

Yep, 10 RPPM is leagues ahead of any other proc rates.

I was looking into Deadthfrost (for the slow) - but its nearly worthless compared to Elemental Force

ALSO, Elemental Force procs off of casts, so I'll be testing it on my casters for sure.

I am not on the PTR but last I checked all damage inflicting enchants mistakenly take into account resil meaning they will hit for 60% of the tooltip. This is the same issue as if you used lifesteal, fiery, or were an undead with the racial proc.

If Elemental Force is not affected by resilience (i hope it is not) it would be one of the few enchants that wouldn't do so and as a result will be very powerful.

(i speak from a 19s standpoint, I don't really play anything higher so I'm not sure if it is common knowledge on whether or not this does not get touched by resilience, if so forgive me)

Hi Mocha.

You are right about Elemental Force's being affected by resillience, which is %40(base) for us low levels. This will reduce the noncrit damage to around 70.
But resilliance affects everything we hit, meaning whenever your dancing steel or mongoose procs, you will still hit %40 less than you expect.

The thing that makes EF beautiful is that its RPPM. I would take +70 damage every 3 secs over anything else.
Still though we'll have to test some top notch enchants and see for ourselves when 5.4 comes out. This is only theorycrafting at the moment.

For sure this is the reason why I was thinking that mongoose would be superior as the bonus agility and haste are full potential :3
