  1. 19 sham belt

You only need 1 more hit rating to make misses a very infrequent occurence. lavishly jeweled ring instead of your loremasters would be the change I would make. Then you could get the blindwatcher. Gain would be 150 mana, 50 health, and reaching hit cap. Loss would be 2 mp/5 and 5 spellpower.
  2. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

Oh yeah I can understand that. Just saying that it would be easy for someone to trivialize the whole thing in this way if they wanted to.
  3. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

It's pretty easy :P We wanted to get the buffs for kicks. We made a trio of DKs and one of us used her brothers 80 prot pally to run us through the instances. Takes a couple of hours, lasts a couple of hours. The more people you take with you, the more times you can refresh the duration on it.
  4. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

I think I figured out the real challenges btw! BFD at 10. UBRS at 49.
  5. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

Nothing new about gnomer at 19? You must be pretty good at pve.
  6. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

Yeah they won't give rating but it'll still trivialize it in 2 ways. The first is by having a tank with the EHP of well geared level 45-50. The second is by allowing you to ignore armor, health, and the possibility of being crushed or crit when gearing, because your EHP is so high. That means...
  7. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

You could probably trivialize the whole thing with buffs :-/ Spirit of zandalar, rallying cry of the dragonslayer, warchiefs blessing, fish feast, gg gnomer.
  8. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

Yeah, it's still good to avoid crits :) Interesting point, if they haven't changed how a mobs chance to crush you is calculated, the defense set posted will actually push some crushes off the table, turning them into blocked normal attacks. Every hit that you don't avoid will be a crush...
  9. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

Crushes can't crit, they're exclusive attack results. You would just have to deal with crushing blows. They do 150% of normal attack damage and really aren't tremendously troublesome unless the mob is taking like 35-40% of your tanks health per swing.
  10. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

I'm not one of those who hates raiding, but I know it can be a huge drag when you've cleared the instance, seen it all 20 or 30 times before, and you're going back anyway to farm loot. I think most people who hate raiding hate scheduling their free time around a game in order to collect new...
  11. lol lore thread

Search for 'thorbia' on wowhead comes up with nothing. Search for 'Keller' comes up with Watcher Keller, who has this on his comments page : 'Most (if not all) of the Duskwood watchers are named after Blizzard employees. This one is probably named after Aaron Keller, one of their artists.'...
  12. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

Well there are ways around it. The old school geddon pull, or the bridge in UBRS, a little patience when pulling really can make instances a lot easier. So many groups have wiped to runners or fears when all they really needed to do was pull the group to the room before. The issue would be those...
  13. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

Another thing to be concerned about is the odd aggro you get sometimes when you're lower level than the designers expected. Alarm bots would be hellish for level 19s. I remember taking some lowbie into SFK once and a whole room aggroed because his aggro radius was so large it pulled a mob on...
  14. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

Actually crushing blows are not really that big a deal unless you're in danger of being 3shotted, which is unlikely from a well geared 19 tank, most have more health than a typically geared level appropriate tank. The issue is threat generation from a tank who can't hit the boss but is...
  15. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

Doing gnomer at 19 would mean the bosses were 9 levels above you. That would mean caster dps would be pretty much worthless, and melee would miss 15.8% of their attacks, 34.8% when dual wielding. I know the glancing blow mechanics changed significantly in wrath, but it used to be that you could...
  16. PvE - Gearing your 19 PvE

Hit cap is based on your level vs mobs level. ?? Boss mobs in end game raids count as level cap + 3. ?? Mobs when you are below level cap still count as their actual level. Spell hit works differently to melee hit as casters do not get glancing blows.
  17. Level 19 Axe Rogue - How's this?

Yeah I tried there but I'm not sure how he comes up with SF as the best OH unless it's with DW spec. It just does less dps unless the proc is worth a lot. SF 17.8 DPS, 8.9 in the OH. CB 15.5 DPS + .857 from AP = 16.357, 8.178 in the OH. So far SF is .7 dps ahead. But the 12...
  18. Level 19 Axe Rogue - How's this?

BTW I know the common conception is that shadowfang is the best OH now, but I don't see the math backing that up. Can anyone show it? How much dps is the proc worth when dual wielding, and with only white attacks? OH never mind, wowheads comments page showed me. SF with dw spec, cb without...
  19. Level 19 Axe Rogue - How's this?

Yeah I was working that out before. If I remember right you lose 3 stam, 6 AP and .6% crit. You gain another 2% dodge parry/reduction from expertise. It's definitely a better option against other melee, and definitely worse against casters (although less so). Since the toon is giving up...
  20. Level 19 Axe Rogue - How's this?

In that case I'd check your paper doll with a CB or heartseeker offhand. DPS should jump nicely, and you're only losing 2.5% offhand dps, which even with 5/5 dw spec is less than 1 dps. Plus that loss is only on characters you are attacking from the front who can parry and dodge. Less on targets...
