World Drop Farming Compendium (ilvl 28 BoEs)

Have noticed while flying around that there are a bunch of different ID's for chests across different zones despite having the same name

Silverbound treasure chest are found all over the place but this specific object ID is showing they have a much higher drop rate of Shortsword of Vengeance and Needle Threader in Felwood and Badlands, based on all the swords I got from Felwood it seems accurate. https://www.wowhead.com/object=207476/silverbound-treasure-chest

If there's a specific item you want from the chest loot pool it might be worth looking it up, just in case it has a high chance from one zone

I have updated my list to reflect your theory; so far it seems to also be true in TBC zones.

Most of the items are currently useless. The major exception to this is Feathermoon Headdress; offering 8 Intellect, 11 Stamina and uniquely 9 Spell Power.

To obtain req 20/i28 armor you must loot the chests on a level 22 char.

Yo, I looted one of these while looking for a Essence Focuser. I sadly looted it on a level 20. I'm almost 100% positive it was from a chest in Zangarmarsh. Kind of seems like it may be more rare than some of the other boes.

Also, outlaw rogues can track treasure, makes it super easy.

Nice find! I have been doing 2 mans with an Outlaw Rogue and a 22 to maximise my efficiency. I have been updating the post I made on the previous page with my findings. With regards to Essence Focuser I found that BEM, Netherstorm, and Shadowmoon are probably your best bet as they were overwhelmingly TBC weapons and gave no classic loot from my experience so I didn't bother adding them.

wondering if anyone has seen an epic drop in BfA on a lower level, pretty sure epic world drops from BfA have a min level requirement but just wanted some confirmation

Not sure but today whilst farming the pigs in Drustvar I got 2 BoE-greens - Both ilvl 29 and req lvl 22. I did this on my lvl 20 toon. Am I missing something? I was expecting they'd be ilvl 28.

Weapon pieces will be level req 22. Armor pieces will be 20

So I’ve now read most of the posts on this thread. I don’t think there are lot of people currently farming tbc dungeons for epic weapons. So I have decided that I will start to farm mana tombs with level 17 to see if I get anything interesting. If I get anything worthwhile I will post it here.

I was in Lower Blackrock Spire today on a level 20 toon and an Item lvl 28 epic helm of narv dropped. Now I’m wondering if Skullflame would drop as ilvl 28 as well. Thought it would be ilvl 26 on a lvl 20, but thinking it’s not now. Does anyone know what Skullflame drops for on a lvl 20? Asking because I thought they we GF’d at ilvl 28 req lvl 20.

I got a Skullflame Shield on my 20 in LBRS. Here to confirm, it drops with a level 21 requirement... despite the MFing tooltip showing 20 at first.

You need to be 20 to get in LBRS, so nothing there. I think some people have gotten items like https://www.wowhead.com/item=871/flurry-axe?bonus=6661 from Zul'Farrak.

You have a chance to get an epic if you open a https://www.wowhead.com/item=10752/emerald-encrusted-chest. These scale to your level, so if you open them on a 17-18 the weapons will be useable on a 20.

Yeah, used to farm a ton of them with my 17, but still no epics

But I have not seen anyone yet confirming a lvl19req epic farming with a 17-18 yet
