World Drop Farming Compendium (ilvl 28 BoEs)

I did mana tombs, quick tip you can pull the entire dungeon till the end and swapblast your twink up to loot. Needs to be level 17 or so if im not mistaking. For the right level weapons to drop. I did this to get essence focuser for 20 (char needs to be 20 then.)

Can someone explain to me why I can't open level 24 Leystone Lockbox with a level 24 Mechagnome or Rogue?

Because lockpicking scales with level and leystone are the 3rd highest. The easiest way is to just have a rogue class trial do it.

Edit: remember to not open the boxes on the class trial. Mail em back and forth.
 
Can we get a list of armories of the 24/25 farmers? I'm curious about gearing/enchanting...how it might be difft from PvPing. I haven't inspected any farmers out in the world, but plan to.

E.g. a 24/25 druid w/ or w/o Bramble. Since this is PvE/AOE would you use some chant other than Superior Impact with BBking? I usually see bearformers.

or long-range pulling (24/25 MM/arcane): You want stuff to die at your feet, not max range.

so according to WoWhead, SM has a chance for Hand of Edward the Odd, has anyone seen one drop there? Also should i be on a 17-18 for the weapon or would a 20 suffice (i plan on using it)
 
i take it the droprate is not correct for the relics? Killed like 250 ettins and no relic drop even tho 8%

Yep. Many vets roll a lvl 24/25 character or multiple, just to grind faster. It's also worth gearing that character specifically to grind since small speed increases work out to big time saves over the course of 10k kills.

Brand new vet here with dum dum question. How do you make a lvl 24/25 character on an account without a subscription? If you level it before sub expires, is it still playable?

Back again with another update - earlier today it was brought to the attention of XPoff Discord (credit to Destur) that TBC chests have a LOT of classic blues on their loot table. I regularly realm-hop and check AHs for 20 loot I've long suspected there was a technique to obtain i28 classic armor pieces (as there are so many, and hoped for weapons source). Sadly, it looks like the weapons drop as 20/i27 and are thus still out of reach - which would be far more valuable as i28 are currently still considered GF.

For the armor it looks like this is a useable source.

Most of the items are currently useless. The major exception to this is Feathermoon Headdress; offering 8 Intellect, 11 Stamina and uniquely 9 Spell Power.

To obtain req 20/i28 armor you must loot the chests on a level 22 char.

Update on my current loot findings. These are listed below. I will continue to add as I farm. The fastest method by far would be to group with an Outlaw Rogue under level 50 (both use a non-TBC chromie time) and taxi the 22 around using the mini-map for treasure tracking. Sadly I don't currently have a third active account to do this.

Have noticed while flying around that there are a bunch of different ID's for chests across different zones despite having the same name

Silverbound treasure chest are found all over the place but this specific object ID is showing they have a much higher drop rate of Shortsword of Vengeance and Needle Threader in Felwood and Badlands, based on all the swords I got from Felwood it seems accurate. https://www.wowhead.com/object=207476/silverbound-treasure-chest

If there's a specific item you want from the chest loot pool it might be worth looking it up, just in case it has a high chance from one zone
