Arcane and Fire relics drop from mobs in Suramar, but Suramar mobs don’t scale down to level 20-25. So farming usable Arcane and Fire relics (or any twink gear) off those mobs is impossible.
That’s why +7 Arcane/Fire aren’t listed in the farming spots. You’ll either need to farm legion invasions or Leystone Lockboxes to get them.
+5/+6 versions are available via Legion questing and are good stopgaps.

Legion assaults are much better, just keep on killing the mobs, they will eventually drop.

Eh, the Legion epics are incidental. I'm farming Assaults with difft level chars because I twink all the way through a bracket, and like a lot of you, I have a large pack of 13s (former 29s) for which I often have to farm everything myself (a little bit like f2p): I'm on quite a few backwater servers (like ZERO relics on the AH, of any level; that 26 is on a realm which commonly doesn't have a single epic multi-stat gem). So my 26 and 27s farm for my 24s. The 24s farm for the 19/20s....etc.
The only good side to the backwaters is that the rare twink item tends to have a low prices. After you folks tipped me off, I've picked up a couple dozen of those level 40 Engineering goggles, some for 400g (max 17K) (A handful of purples, too). I see the prices for BH/AP etc servers, and the auction-lifetime of a good item on the AH must be just minutes.

Yes, but the drop rate is much lower, farming invasions is much more time effective, of course, except buying them from AH...

You have clearly missunderstood my intention here. I'm not debating your answer. I know you know which source is the best and many others reading this thread, but maybe he doesn't. I didn't either when I started and was frustrated about not getting a drop and looked for alternative ways. Chill, no sarcasm or harm intended...

Never owned one of these, but wondering about potential situational uses for our farming. Some places where melee mobs would trigger blocks and generate AOE aggro. From comments seems the damage doesn't scale, so you'd still have to do something else to kill. Looking for something where I don't have to keep pressing buttons so much. Default is rLvl 25, which is workable but can it be relic'd to rLvl 23?

It can be worn on a 25 farmer char though. But unless they increased the power the proc is pretty weak.

So far the only thing that I know of is a dazzling longsword in scholomance and a flurry axe from zul’farrak. Lvl 18 ilvl 27. I’ve seen a couple weapon/shield items scaled to that on the AH as well. The best instances to farm would probably be scarlet monestary for very low chance of skullflame, hand of ed, and chance of valuable transmogs. or Zul farrak for the large world loot table (seems to include “higher level” epics such as destiny based on wowhead loot tables and info posted by transmog farmers).
no one has shared a drop in open word farming that I know of
