What do you do for a living?

Just graduated with a business degree in Insurance. Looking for job currently.

I also play in a Metal/Hardcore band, recording our second EP starting the 28th.

More and more varity of jobs.

Drayner AT&T seems like it would be a huge place to work. They probably keep you busy. It really sounds like you've had quite a bit of success in the web field considering how many websites you have made and then sold.

SSB64 I never pictured you in insurance, The business aspect I can see but insurance seems so fickle (working with them they are so one way then the other) for someone who seems to be very solid I never pictured you dealing with Insurances.

AT&T is very large. I've been here 13 years and it's a good place to work. The web thing was great and I made an insane amount of money in a 10 year period, but it's all catching up with me now. After the windfall of cash in 2010, I've been squaring things away with the IRS for the last couple years. I almost see the light at the end of the tunnel though.

I never saw him as a insurance guy either, but he's a bright person... so I can see him doing whatever he wants to do in the future. Just keep your head up Purj!

Ah, bet he is feeling the decrease of worth of gold right now.....Still a solid job and it will rise again (thinkin about getting in since he dropped so low)

Yeahhhh, not positive I'll do it my whole life - but hey I'm still young and I'm just looking to make some money. Better getting education and working than waiting forever to figure myself out.

True that, Its always better to get your foot in the door into something, it can always lead to bigger better things (take my situation I went from being a cook to a patient account rep/financial aid)

Fun thread!

I'm an IT Manager at a midwest university. Every day brings a story of some sort.

Today, I got drenched with a surprise downpour coming back from a meeting across campus. I walked into the office of a couple of coworkers, dripping a trail of water after me. They stared at me and one asked, "Oh my Gosh! What the heck happened to you?" Quivering head to toe, in my best quietly-about-to-lose-my-temper voice, I replied, "There is a serious problem in the men's restroom." The OMG look was priceless, then they realized I was kidding, and they died laughing. One of them loaned me a shirt to change into. 'Twas a good day.

Completely unrelated, if you're about to enter college in the United States, or are in a US high school and thinking of going to college, drop me a line. I know how to twink out your college career both to save you a ton of money, and also to pursue some really cool opportunities you might not know are available to you. Just like World of Warcraft, the United States educational system contains a lot of secrets that can get you ahead if you know how to "turn off your XP" and "gear up".

Now Bwappo your epic man.....I might have to take you up on that as I might want to be getting some college in to better my chance at moving up the ladder :)

Bumping this as I want to hear more from our community.

Today- A Hispanic family came into my office today (I don't speak a lick of Spanish), the son is the only one that knew even alittle english. There are some up sides and down sides. Dealing with a family that cant understand what you are trying to do can get pretty frustrating. Especially when they end up putting a complaint in saying that our hospital isnt Spanish Friendly.......Some people are so rude, especially when I was trying to get them aid from the state *puts there file at the back*

Currently a college undergraduate studying computer science, I will probably end up switching to biology in the near future.

I'm actually thinking along the same lines. Except, instead of completely switching over from one field to another, I'll mix it up and go into Biomechatronics. Really interested in going in that field.

Administrative project manager, but currently on maternity leave.

That's exactly what I did! I wanted to do computer science bcs I loved web design, but I ended up being more interested in genetics.
