We came full circle (twinks + levlers)

Personally, I can't wait for this change. I'll finally be able to experience brackets I never had the opportunity to back in the day, i.e. 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60. This change will resurrect dead brackets.

To the people complaining about shit players in bgs with them, you're shit yourself so quell your arrogance. Personally, I'm looking forward to killing idiots and reaping dem sweet killing blows. I'm one of those guys that plays to kill and defend, never to win.

One of my favourite parts about twinking has been seeing familiar people in my games. I like playing with the same people because you get to know people and it leads to better teamwork. I've always disliked pvping at the top level because I don't know anyone on my team and people just do their own thing instead of trying to play objectively together. I could see new combined bgs being like that.

I have so many mixed feelings about this but as a low level player probably only good for my wallet saving 13 euro a month for playing the lower levels.

But we know already that they are taking out our tools to tinker. We can already see that. There will be no more tinkering and a supported play style taken out of this game. If there were an opting option to participate in leveling or heroic instanced pvp would have been alot better. They are simply taking our bg's, tools to enhance and say fuck you.

It's hard to tell how this change will affect the bracket. I can imagine two scenarios:

1. The bracket explodes with new players. Back in the day you usually inspired people to tink because of your overpowered gear, now you'll have to convince them to stay by playing your best in the gulch, showing sportsmanship and generally doing your best to expose our community to the random levelers. Beacuse of the normalized ilvl in PvP our gear won't be that insane (even though I'm sure we will find a way around it). Obviously pugs will be shit, but if the bracket grows and even if just 1/4 of the new players are decent, it will lead to more Wargames which probably will be the only place for competetivness.
So in short, pugs will be shit, Wargames will be our thing, and hopefully the new players can contribute.

2. Everyone leaves the bracket cause pugs are shit, and all the newcomers (if any) will be shit.

Every expansion with major changes the twinks say "rip twinking, its over now" and every time they are wrong, twinking was going to fundamentally change in legion before this, making it harder to recruit, if they HADN'T done this twinking may have actually died, but as I keep saying, more players, more guilds, more teams, more streams, more events/wargames. If you want competition, play in war games, there is going to end being a lot more teams to play against, people are counting their chickens before they hatch! Give it some time.

@Laurasia will seeing your friends be even more special now that there are so many "others"? A million diamonds is nice, but one diamond in a pile of rubble is awesome

We can not call what we do tinkering anymore in Legion. We simply be like every other player but with more experience. I understand the difference but twinking isn't going anywhere, this gives the xp off play style more exposure than it has ever had or ever will have had, people are just being dramatic, something as simple as spamming a macro in a BG advertising war games, streams, guild recruitments and events will do wonders, and drive people to us. So maybe twinking is dead, but whatever we become next is only going to be better off, think of it as an evolution.
