Warlords of Draenor Changes for F2P

A bunch of new changes listed here:

Build 18322

Notably some additions to the druid changes (chance for Shred to critically hit while stealthed on a target above 80% increased by 50%).

And interestingly, "Survival: Survivalist, after killing a target you gain 15% health over 10 seconds"

LOL and Prot Paladins' tank passive now grants them the ability to block spells.

It says requires level 100, but could be a tooltip error.

This may be for PvE only. It really is hard to say at this stage in development.

The thing about offensive Guardian is that a well set up Bear Hug is more effective than a Ferocious Bite, in my opinion.

First, Guardian can solo healers. Or at the very least, I feel somewhat comfortable in making that assertion. It certainly isn't alone - a geared Arms Warrior can solo priest/shaman/druid healers with ease, and I think a hunter can solo the same as well.

Guardian has the added benefit of doing a high amount of true (unmitigated [non-reduced]) damage via Bleeds/Dots.

So using a bulky Feral set as Guardian (mine has 1787 health outside of bg's w/ agm/LFH), your bear hug will end up doing 30% of your bear form health divided by the reduction from resilience. Something like (10% of max health = ~218 x 3 ticks = 654 x 60% damage after resilience = ) ~393 damage. But with a 5 point Rip, a rake, and a moonfire also affecting the target - followed by a Bear Mangle for about 120 base damage (usable while in the Bear Hug Root), you'll be doing about (~240 from Rip, ~150 from Rake, ~90 from Moonfire, ~120 from Bear Mangle) 1000 damage total to the target over the duration of the Bear Hug.

If you're really able to do a set up against a healer (think 2v2 healer/dps vs healer/dps), you can actually generate 5 combo points before you bear hug and still maintain a full Rip on the target for the duration.

This means that you are able to immediately Ferocious Bite with bleeds with >50 energy, which should be doing about 500 base.

If you are Tauren, you can actually deny them a single global cooldown between the end of the Bear Hug and your shapeshift into cat form for the Bite.

Sure it's a lot more complicated and situational than Ferocious Bite, but A. It's pretty fun to set up, and B. You have the amazing defenses that come with being a Guardian Druid.

Try it out! Tell me what you guys think :3

Been trying out Guardian with an old boomkin I had sitting around and this hug setup is great. Slow going at first, but then the damage gets poured on during the hug. I love it. Thanks! Such a bizarre, but interesting spec.

Edit: P.S. So I was not supposed to be put in a game against Mok'Nathal right after I posted this. :p Was pretty nervous. Got to try out the Huggie on Mok's monk though. :) Watching the game now, you guys had it silly rough with the Alliance 24 premade.

Updated, thanks for the link.

Looks like the ability to block spells for Prot Paladins is a level 100 talent "Holy Shield", not their basic tank passive (that would be Guarded by the Light). Certainly interesting, but not something that's going to affect us at 20.

The bracket will extend to 29s however Failtopay toons, (not p2ps as 20s) will play in their own bracket. There will be a limit on the number of BG's in a given day. Last I heard it maybe about 10.

I think thats a good news?

I have not read this information on any website. Did it come from a tweet?
Since, Blizzard is limiting BGs I wonder if skirmishes and arenas would be limited as well. If you are not a well equipped trial by 6.0 it will rough going to get heirlooms with only 10 BGs a day. I am sure many play more than that. I barely play 10 in a week any more.

Is the limited battlegrounds for f2p only or does it count for all brackets?

Obliviously a troll.. just imagine they actually gonna put their time in to coding any changes for f2p..
For years it has been a "oh well good nuff as it is" policy.

Damn, I totally missed that change. I haven't touched Guardian since halfway through Cata, and I hated it then. Gonna have to try it out again.
