Warlords of Draenor Changes for F2P

It is been mentioned several times since the infamous one word twitter.
X0-x9 brackets are coming.

Official link? I searched, but didn't find anything.

As for it being good or bad, it very much depends on how Blizz scales chants, characters and spells. I'll reserve any judgement there based on what happens. One negative for F2P is that 25+ get glyphs. What they should do is give people in the bracket the same spells while in the BG, or even out of it.

ppl lvl so fast now a days i don't see why they can't just give you all your spells at 10 20 30 40 50 .... ect i mean really u ding so fast now a days its rediculous and i doubt too many people would notice

My P2P account is on a free trial, I am trying to load up on BOAs on my P2P as best I can so that I can exploit their use in F2P. The guild ones are easily accessible but I need more gold, while I don't think I have enough time to unlock the Argent ones, only 2 factions exalted atm.

I might need to do more pvping in the upper brackets, but the pvp boas are rather bland. Perhaps they will be reitemized come WoD?

Plus anyone have a good way to grind gold at 85?

This. Plus i believe i read somewhere that glyphs will be automatically unlocked at their respective levels. So if they could temporarily grant access to spells as you scale up in bgs, i don't think its a stretch to hope glyphs will be there as well.

This thread will suit you better http://www.twinkinfo.com/forums/f43/questions-answers-53978/

Only because it's been the topic of discussion since the tweet.

It was never broken. Blizzard never said they were going to dictate class comps. What the role check does is help you, and your teammates quickly tell what role everyone around you is.

I do agree though. A system that would prevent class stacking/healer stacking, even tank stacking (looking at you alliance, not that its effective, yet were stuck with you) would be great.

I am aware of that however it doesn't serve much purpose in it's current state.

Nothing good gonna come out for f2ps regarding main pvp issue - 24/29.
New enchants will hurt more, possible tinkers became boe with no engineering Synapse Springs - Spell - World of Warcraft - new extra trinket..

The only thing u will be able to do agains em is run away. sometimes..
At this time we do nt even know how the new enchants will work or even if they can be applied below ilvl 600. I very seriously doubt that any of the profession enchants will work that way intentionally.

You should not need an official link.
We are not even in the open Alpha phase yet. Blizzard is still changing the levels at which we acquire abilities and in some cases completely taking them away.

Work the AH. Buy low sell high. People still are buying deviate fish believe it or not. Look at the prices of ore vs bars and smelt bars. Sell bags.. the list can on and on. Dailies,,,,
Mysterious Fortune Cards. People still buy those things. I have made over 750,000 gold just from MSF cards.

much speaks for that blizz will make the brackets 20-29 etc, other than the tweets.

blizz are losing subscribers and has been for a long time. the semi-recent server merges was because wow had too many servers up and running w/o enough players so they merged them. same thing for bgs, since subs has dropped queues are fairly long even in xp-on brackets. so essentially blizz are merging the pvp-brackets because there just aren't enough players to fill 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29 etc etc. my 2 cents

oh and also with the scaling that was introduced in 5.3, low lvl bracket players don't suffer from a disadvantage like they did pre-cata.

Those are the only two that I knew of besides third party sites. There was also a third tweet but it was the vague one I could not remember the wording to.

Thanks. Two lazy one word answers are better than one. I'm not ready to call that complete confirmation, but at least the second question was a specific question about the lower brackets.

Summary of changes to Balance:
Balance Energy is a bar that automatically cycles back and forth between Lunar and Solar sides, like night and day. The closer to one end that the bar is, the more damage that side's spells do.
Balance Druids now have four rotational spells.
Starfire: Lunar direct damage spell
Cast when the Lunar side is stronger
Wrath: Solar direct damage spell
Cast when the Solar side is stronger
Moonfire: Lunar periodic damage spell. While closer to Solar, this button is replaced with Sunfire, a Solar periodic damage spell.
Maintain both effects where possible
Starsurge: Direct damage spell that benefits from whichever side is stronger. Has up to 3 charges, and buffs the damage of the next few Wrath or Starfire.
Cast when able to follow up with a few strong Wrath or Starfire.

That's the basics of the new Moonkin rotation. There’s room for improvement beyond that, learning to optimally maintain both periodic damage effects with the strongest Eclipse effect, timing Starsurges to optimize the benefit of its buff, make use of Starfall and Hurricane for area damage, and taking advantage of the strengths of each side (such as Moonfire and Sunfire having significant differences now). Here are the full details of the changes.

Balance Energy system has been redesigned. Balance Energy is a bar that cycles back and forth between Lunar and Solar sides, like night and day, with a 30 second cycle time (from Lunar to Solar and back to Lunar).
Balance Energy is no longer generated through spells, talents, or other effects anymore.
Eclipse has been redesigned.
Eclipse inspires the Druid with the power of the moon and the sun, causing the damage of Lunar and Solar spells to be increased by up to 30% based on how close Balance Energy levels are to the appropriate side.
Example: With 0 Balance Energy, the damage bonus is evenly split between Lunar and Solar, and the Druid receives a 15% increase to damage for both spell types. With 80 Solar Energy, the Druid receives a 27% damage increase to Solar spells and a 3% damage increase to Lunar spells.
Mastery: Total Eclipse now increases the maximum damage bonus of Eclipse by 12% (increasing with Mastery).
Starfire now has a 3 second cast time (up from 2.7 seconds).
Moonfire now has a 16 second base duration (up from 14 seconds), but is no longer extended by Starfire and Starsurge critical strikes.
Sunfire now has a 16 second duration (up from 14 seconds), but is no longer extended by Wrath and Starsurge critical strikes. Additionally, Sunfire is no longer its own spell. Sunfire replaces Moonfire on the action bar whenever Balance Energy is on the Solar side. Enemies may still suffer from both Moonfire and Sunfire’s periodic damage components simultaneously.

I like that we have the option to either use the starsurges 3 times in succession as kill burst, or to use them followed up with wraths / starfires to maximize pressure.

I really do like the changes to boomkin - would be nice to see a f2p class get its skill ceiling raised.

There is some good and bad for 3 starsurge

Good-take down a hunter more easily since starsurge is a balance Druid's most Op spell

Bad- a bit too much burst from a single spell spam

I'm still looking foward to 3 starsurge tho, seems like fun

i was told that the starsurge is not going to be a cast spell but instant and just buff star fire /wrath . not sure if i was trolled or what
So starsurge is like

for druid magics ?

Position requirement (such as "must be behind target") for abilities removed.

Great. Now FCs won't mind to stay in the edge of FR roof or put their back on the wall to avoid ambushes, rogues will ambush your forehead.
Lmao, I can't quit laughing!

A bunch of new changes listed here:

Build 18322

Notably some additions to the druid changes (chance for Shred to critically hit while stealthed on a target above 80% increased by 50%).

And interestingly, "Survival: Survivalist, after killing a target you gain 15% health over 10 seconds"

LOL and Prot Paladins' tank passive now grants them the ability to block spells.
