No. It's like making a poll to get rid of the police yet we have 8 police officers able voting no. This is a small community and when the fuck would a mod vote yes for his position to get relieved?
Yup, cause thats how voting works. We prevent people from voting if they are invested in the vote. So since one option is moderators, they shouldn't vote. Oh wait...the other option is to have no moderators...so people who aren't moderators also shouldn't vote.
and to be more realistic if I wasn't posting this and it was under a different name like I said before we would have different results. Half this thread is people personally attacking me because they hate me. Alot of the people in yes probably wouldn't vote for me even if I started a campaign to save children in Africa.
Its not so much that people hate you. I've never really met you or interacted with you before really. But the whole poll and OP is super aggressive and biased, as well as playing to extremes. You're right that the poll isn't accurate. We have people voting "no mods" who want some moderation, but less than what we have now. We have people voting against the whole proposal because its super aggressive and confrontational.
Would they not vote for you if you started a campaign to save children in Africa because they hate you? Maybe. But if you convey your Africa campaign the same way you convey your ideas here - yeah people would probably not support that campaign.
I do? Please be specific so I can answer your question instead of making redundant bullshit.
From the OP:
...We shouldn't need mods as I said before. Only serious offenses like scamming or personal info leaks should be removed...
Your first sentence here (and the point of the whole OP and poll really) is that we should NOT HAVE MODS. Literally,
the next fucking sentence, you say that we should remove serious offenses. Who will remove the serious offenses? A magical fairy? Will we have a voteban or voteremove capability? (If so, whats to stop a group of ppl banding together to censor people by mass voteban/removing people they don't like?)
All that being said. Your point remains (somewhat) valid - the current level of moderation (and content of the CoC) isn't acceptable for some people. You keep alienating people from your cause by being confrontational and extreme. If you really want to make a difference, go through the CoC and bring up key points that you think should be changed and why. Push for moderator openness like a modlog that is open to everyone to view so we can clearly see that there aren't any abuses. Post in a reasonable manner without attacking anyone and people will focus on what you have to say rather than who you are. If you can't express your points with logic behind them and in a reasonable manner, then people won't listen to you. If you continue to be confrontational and extreme, you either don't know how to interact with people and won't make any headway, or youre intentionally trolling.
TL;DR - If we're worried about cops being corrupted, we make them wear bodycams for our protection and their protection, not get rid of cops altogether. If we're worried about mods being corrupted, we make their actions public for our protection and theirs, not get rid of mods altogether.
And stop being a dick about it.
