Some things you just don't need accountability. Yes, they are entirely subjective. But having experience from other forums and communities, and seeing how close and positive they are to each other, I think that's enough to consider. How about you just go on and use the site for what it's meant for, and respect others while at it? Is it such a hard thing to do?

You can't just go to a library and get pissed at the librarian because you can't yell. There are reasons behind these things. And this reason is because it is NOT ACCEPTED HERE. We do not care to read it, and it is not tolerated. You are not being oppressed because you have the full ability to leave this site if you choose to. But until then, you will abide by the CoC, or you will be forced to check out.

If you TRULLY believe that this petty quarrel is enough for you to leave, and actually damage this website's success, then you might find yourself disappointed.

If anyone is wondering why we haven't stopped this yet, it is because we are trying to get a message across. But it's still tedious when someone keeps hitting the messenger with a car.

Sounds like half the problem is censorship. Is there a way to publicize moderator actions in a graveyard forum or something? Basically if a thread/post is to be deleted, its moved/copied there first, along with a reason (presumably traced back to the CoC).


Sounds like the other half is people not agreeing with the CoC. You'll probably find a lot more support in picking key points of the CoC you disagree with or think are oppressive and making a thread like this to get the community opinion and support on updating that point. Trying to get rid of the CoC altogether is a lost cause - even if thats what you really want. You'll have to come to some sort of compromise from the users and mods - because they too visit and contribute to the site. If you don't want the mod's views forced on you, why are you trying to force your views on everyone else? Meet in the middle in a reasonable manner or exercise your right of exit and don't visit/contribute to the site. Hell, you could even start your own competing site if you really think that so many people have left due to overmoderation.

I have very well seen that Myrm wants this site to evolve, and be accepted by Blizzard. Moderators are needed/required for this to happen. This is said by the administrator of this site, he calls the shots. Not you, not the mods no one else but him. And if he tells the mod's to do this and that, they will. And he is telling them to respect the CoC, that is what they are going to do. It's why they are there.

None the less I would feel ashamed being a moderator knowing close if not 50% of the votes is against me, just shows something is totally wrong imo.

That being said, I know I do not share the entirely same point of view as you do Solipsist , because the main reason I voted no on that poll is not because of what they are doing, but how they are doing it. I think every moderator should be equally strict, share the same vision of the website and be on the same page regarding in what direction this website is going. Get me right, if this website wants to be clean from toxic / bad language and shit I think they should go all try hard on it and not try to balance on this line with what is okay and what is not okay.

I simply cant have moderators being insecure about the CoC, what they are doing, and their way of judging. It's shown thread after thread after thread. Even Conq showed that in both your threads in the past 24 hours now, how it's okay for some people to shit on the rules and for some it isn't, imo the moderators are way to biased and doing a poorly job now days. I dont know if it's because Myrm as admin has to clear the rules up for the moderators and how "strict" they have to be or if he needs more moderators in general, and tbh I dont care if this website is going to be a strict rule book or not, I can live with either. But I hate seeing a website trying to balance on whats right and wrong.

He even posted "Which rules they prioritize" over other rules, yet it feelsl ike they do nothing about em at all, which feels frustraiting as fuck as a user of the website.

I sincerely appologize if anyone got offended by this post, but that's how I see this forum.

TLDR Need more moderators and sync up on where this site is going, but untill that is done I prefer 0 moderators is better than having some shitty moderators.

Kids might be fun, a bunch of prepubescent teens displaying their big curseword vocabulary are not so fun.
