Shadowlands F2P Baseline Guide

Hey I have a quick question. I was thinking of making a F2P twink. My question is, if I decide to let my subscription expire rather than make a new account and just run f2p, would that not allow you to buy most of the enchants and stuff first before the sub runs out in place of leveling enchanting and such?
 
Minor thing I just realized.

I was messing around with some shadowruby bands, and saw that they disenchant into chaos crystals. Since twinks are going to spend some time with JC anyways and because it might be less hassle to farm up oodles of ore than to farm up world drop epics, is there any reason they aren't recommended as a way to get some of the required crystals for hidden satyr?

Can you do the required quest chain up until you can buy the recipe specific for that one, as F2p? The other 3 color epic rings have a 45 level required for the quests that award them.

This wasn't the case for my 45+ JC (who admittedly didn't finish Legion). I was forced to do the Argus Quest chain to unlock those Patts. Is it the case if you unlocked it/Argus on another Toon on your Account that he sells them when in Dal to any new JC's same Account?
 
Is it an ordeal to get him up to Dal? I have a 44 toon that has the quest to go meet him in stormheim, can see what happens once he goes up... I've never progressed it farther than that point so nothing would be unlocked by another toon.

edit- so I understand he's not 20 and not f2play, but my 44 (old 109) didnt personally unlock anything in argus and it looks like Jabrul will sell him that design. Ive had other toons in argus tho, but never a JC (not sure how it worked).

its something we werent aware of when the guide was written.

I'll play with it this weekend and see if it's even possible for a F2P to do. If so, great find!
 
I just tried this... it works as F2P, unlinked account, just 1 point in Legion JC!

Added: I'm part way through Northrend JC/alchemy so only prospected the minimum ore needed for 5 gem chips (the second quest in the chain).

got TBC enchanting to 41, friendly rep with consortium faction. was able to buy PVP power to cloak enchant but unable to use, says i'm too low level. while in netherstorm i got a major intellect to wpn enchant drop, showed white tried to learn also says i'm too low level.

is the spellpower enchant to wpn useable that like drops in bashir area, or should i just press on and get MOP ench for like EF?
 
It's a fairly well known bug. Most items have a hidden level restriction of the zone that you get them in. Try to use them, you'll get that error message.

Did you try the vendor in nagrand? Since that zone goes down to 20, items bought there should work. Nothing will fix a drop (or an item that's only sold in higher level zones) except asking a GM and hoping they're nice.

There is the wotlk enchants for sp on weapons from the trainer, pretty easy to get. Think its +9 on staff and +7 on 1hander, an also get the +5 int on offhand enchant from mop enchanting (requires 50 mop skill)

If you bought it in Netherstorm the zone itself is too high level so you cant use it, unfortunate side effect of a shitty bandaid fix Blizz put in for end game stuff. Get the Wrath one its easier to level anyway

The Bashir one, https://www.wowhead.com/spell=27975/major-spellpower, should work since its in a level approximate zone and gives 4 more SP in BGs than the int enchant anyway

Im having trouble getting a group for mechanar for the moonglade robe for my druid. What's a good chest piece I can replace it with?
