Mocha's 19 Rogue Guide

Are they really going to replace the hit on the boa chest leather with crit? If so does that make it better than Gloomshroud? thanks.

Also since Elemental force is so op, what is your opinion on using dual thrash blades??

Hey Mocha, quick question for you.

There's a lot of talk in the F2P section about if SF is better than BoA Mace. Could you enlighten me on the subject? Which is better and why?

Well, I noticed that for my 19 paladin, 5 str added 7min-6max avg damage to my swings. Maybe there' something similar to where the topend / swing speed of the weapons is irrelevant? And does it outvalue the crit/haste rating from the boa?

BOA stats are better but with the shadow bolt proc, it adds an extra bonus damaging attack spell which can grant yet another EF proc. Honestly the difference is so minute. Use what you have :)

This is completely misguided. There are races for both factions that are significantly better than others.

UD is probably one of the worst options for 19 as there are very few Warlocks.

For horde: Orc/Belf > Goblin > Panda > Troll > UD

Alliance: Nelf/Worgen > Dwarf/Gnome > Human

belf and nelf are what i like, you learn to play around the racials you have.
 
There are a few issues imo.

I would prefer Gloomshroud armor instead BoA.

Rings: Seal of Argas and Ello's ring. Meavy Stendel's wedding band? +7 crit (i prefer 6agility)

One shadowfang for procs is not bad at all.

And subtely does not do good dmg using swords.

theres a bunch of ways to build a rogue like max ambush or max crit or whatever.
also swords are better, theres math somewhere on this. think it was done a year or so back.
gloom vs boa doesn't really even matter that much honestly its a slight difference

Added a new stealth or vanish + cannibalize macro:


Spam-friendly Stealth or Vanish + Cannibalize
This macro can be used by any level, any race as a spam friendly stealth macro. However, as undead, this macro will allow your rogue to cannibalize an enemy and stealth at the same time. This way your rogue will be discretely cannibalizing its target while being stealthed. The stealth function will only work if you are not in combat if you do not have vanish. If your rogue does have vanish (higher levels) your rogue will vanish cannibalize. You can spam this macro and it will not break stealth
