Speed limits are defined in law. Blizzard has a policy that defines the rules for multiboxing and the use of third party software to "mirror keystrokes to multiple game clients." No where does it mention addons. And as I have said before, they 100% have the ability to require that a physical key press / mouse click occurs on any input in the game (they've done it before). If they're truly banning people for using an addon / weakaura to auto accept a role check, they have the capability to fix it.

I'll be honest mate: you 100% deserved to be banned. You're blatently breaking blizzard's TOS. Just because you got away with it for years doesn't mean you're clean.

Blizzard cast a wide net and you were in the bulls-eye mate. A lot of other people got caught up in this for reasons that are much more of a grey area. I feel bad for everyone banned, but you were playing with fire for years. There's nothing arbitrary about your situation

That's the thing, I've not been banned. What exactly have I been doing that's violating the ToS? Clicking a macro? Queueing up with 5 accounts? Multi-boxing (I alt-tab between the windows, no 3rd party software used)? I'm really curious.

I believe that folks are smart enough to realize they're playing in a grey area and it now has some new limits and restrictions. I feel it's a matter of time for those continuing on to get banned and we'll see more posts like this in the future. None of us have any say in the matter, if people want to continue to skirt the now more obvious issues Blizz has with twinks and dungeon parking ect they'll just get the hammer on the next round.

I refuse to boost people. How many capped characters do you need, weirdo?

People wonder why I play Wow like a single player game 99% of the time.
Reading any wow discussion groups reminds me why I feel compelled to avoid group content whenever possible, there are so many reasons why it's just not worth it.

At this point I'm just wondering why I still even bother playing this game, 20 years of sunk cost fallacy I guess?
This supposed MMO RPG where the biggest risk to your account/sanity is simply engaging with other players in any capacity.

The real endgame in Wow isn't raids, mythic+, PVP, Mount/Xmog collecting, or even twinking.
The actual endgame in Wow seems to be just people trying to out Dunning Kruger each other over the controversy of the week.

Anyways, sorry y'all got banned I guess?
I didn't get banned.
Probably because I am too lazy to engage in all that convoluted shady macro add-on shit you guys do to boost, or get around multi-boxing restrictions.

Was it worth it?

yeah why i said "because the scripts/assist are submitted then approved or disallowed "

only the approved / agreed pool of addons, weakauras/scripts are used by the players during these tourneys, where as a 3400 player during regular season who has used custom hired gun coders, data miners, paid specific addons/scripts/etc. which are disallowed, not approved, banned from the tourneys will not be at the level they were in the season. then they or blizzard know this and either don't take the AWC invite or aren't not invited because of what was borderline of being bannable during a season. i won't go into MMR rigging to boot which blizzard still has never fixed

even the RWF'rs get contacted/warned/etc if blizzard has a issue with a custom script being used.

get on twitch talk talk to ven, supa, snut, etc.

There are many things i find fun and braindamaging about this "community" but gy farming the falling is not my shtick.
You say you didn't use the script. Alright. something else then that triggered it for you. Try recreate your patterns for past 6 month and think what it could be.
While it is possible to get entire bnet account closed the chances of it being a mistake or for meme sake while withstanding appeal are very low and usually a combination of things and/or behavior patterns.

Today it is you tomorrow it is me or anyone else here. I am at peace with the fact. At any point any account can be closed for no given reason.
We all living under a loaded barrel and as time goes by it is very easy to forget the fact that you or i do not own anything when running this spynet by the name of bnet. Just like conq can someday comeback here and hold all this stated thoughts hostage for another 15 dolla donation so can lizzard delete us all if line god wont go up high enough.

Try learn out of this experience you got and mitigate future damage if you planning to go again.
on top of suggestions stated earlier (if yall this serious about boosting / multi boxing and got means & space for it)
  • Get 1 or 2 laptops to physically run it as separate things to minimize the risk. Do not use 5 accounts on one machine.
  • Play wow on private servers.
  • Run wow locally as your own thing and invest your effort and time in that.
  • Play something else.

nvidia app or any other thing is enough to trigger flag if something goes wrong or interacts with wows memory.
People been banned for having cuda running and while it was not confirmed the assumption was that.
