Interesting Item thread (No flaming, only constructive replies please)

A few things.

Heya. What I meant to communicate is that the silence only procs from Direct Damage spells, including the arcane-dmg weapon-imbue-type that the Suramar City mobs use. Pretty certain: dots and AOE never proc it.
Testing:
Shield’s Rest WQ: Good for test: two types of elite caster vrykul, one priest and another similar. Both have DD spells and a nature DOT...'Choking'-mist?. They're spread out, so easy to 1v1 for careful monitoring. I'm in tank spec with 3-4 interrupts besides the trinket, so I can block most DD. Killed a dozen in lengthy exchanges, and they'd get silenced from DDing me but never from DOT-ing me.

Argus: Felsingers: DD+Rain of Fire. Killed a dozen, same story. Puscilla’s imps' puddle damage: more difficult to test, but again never saw them silenced.

Good news: it does silence Elites in Temple of 1000 Lights, both the familiars and the mages. The familiars may have a dmg aura, but if so, I didn’t see any silences from that. Also, some Elites on Isle of Wardens were silenced, when they used Howl/Roar-of-something.
Ok, I was more curious if it functions as a interrupt or if it will proc on mobs and they just can't cast for 2 sec. I wouldn't want to be fighting and have it proc on a warrior lets say and he is just "silenced" for 2 sec. It sounds like it can only proc when an enemy is casting/channeling, so that's an interrupt. Looks hugely strong tbh.

ok guys, as i am leveling my paladin, i realized that draenor items can be warforged. can they be socket as well? any interesting items?

(legion cannot as I ran violet hold for 120 times for my https://www.wowhead.com/item=137440/shivermaws-jawbone?bonus=1808 and i never received a warforged item.)
As with Legion, those of us who had 99 Twinks back in the day NEVER got any WoD Dungeon Gear to proc a Socket, only Tertiary.

EDIT: So essentially it's BfA (Socket + Tertiary) > WoD (Tertiary only) [unless Rings/Neck/Trinket because they suck] > Legion (NO Socket or Tertiary) for Dungeon drops. World BoE Greens it's Legion/BfA both.

EDIT2: There's "Interesting" items all over, especially while on Chromie Time and shit scales to your Level that wouldn't normally.

https://www.wowhead.com/item=13361/skullforge-reaver procs SO OFTEN, pretty OP in PvP because you can switch weapons? i wonder what the best enchant is if the goal is to hit the enemy once or twice and then switch to actual weapon, open to ideas

I've tested it on my 25 WW Farmer and on a 20 DH, @1 HPS on a 20 it's not worthwhile imo. Even tried Dual Wielding them on the DH.

I'd rather use Lifestealing enchant on a the Artifact Weapon on the DH. ( Plus Landslide on the other )

Don't have one of these to test but is the proc a drain that just ticks your hp up or does it visually do the damage per tick to the target as shadow damage or w/e?

If it's the latter then real questions with this one is, does it tick every second? If yes can those ticks proc ele force? If you dual wield it does the debuff refresh or can you have 2 seperate dots up at once?

Curious to know if anyone has that info.

I have 2 on a 20DH - the farm to get them wasn't worth the effort imo.

Ticks your HP up, 1 HP per sec - 1 dot at a time only tested in PVE. Didn't have Ele force so cant comment.

If the heal scales in a BG to 29 then it might be a different matter - I used them for a short period on a 25 WW Monk when farming - the HoT was about 3 - 4 HP per tick, got a better solution now, so dont have them equipped.

it's also about keeping rogues from re-stealthing, no?

I used Ember extensively for pvp back in Legion, and it is indeed a wonderful trinket, but that is mainly because no one ever expects it. Most people don't even know it exists because it only drops for tanking specs.

That said, it can proc on any magical damage, which includes enchants/effects that deal, for example, nature damage (so yes, it can proc against a warrior). It will also proc on dots, which means the target does not have to be actively casting for the silence to go off.

I haven't used them in PvP on the DH - I'd have to do some tests and see if it puts a dot on the target. There is weapon that does prevent Rogues / Druids from stealthing on hit, it's not Skulforge theough.. At work so havent got the time to look it up

the epic sword that reduces armor, forgot the name

x2 freezing bands!
