How to one-shot boses (Vanilla up to WoD)

I wrote a WeakAura to track time/casts remaining for Frothing Pustules (but note that pustules will often target the same mobs with their casts.) Please let me know if you run into any issues!

So, I picked up both https://www.wowhead.com/item=178769/infinitely-divisible-ooze & https://www.wowhead.com/item=179356/shadowgrasp-totem on a most fortunate Druid I recently rolled, & have been running dungeons as a Bear.
Even in current timeline I'm not going ham, like I see some of these people do : deleting bosses in a single global, for instance.
He's a fresh 20 still wearing looms for the most part. No gems or enchants either. Should I go Kitty, or even Boomy? Or is there some other interface I'm missing?

What dungeons? Trinkets don't work in them all.

Oh, is that so? Well... I did 2 BfA instances & led the dps meters, but everyone else was high level, & the Bosses didn't just... ya know.. melt.
I reckon that the 10's & 11's dripping with gear, are an obviously poor barometer for my expected performance, but I'd like to see bosses drop after a few globals?!
Do they NOT work in SL / BFA? Only ePacs pror to them?

Technically they work up through Legion, they're just not as overwhelmingly effective in Legion. You'll still notice the two trinkets doing disproportionate damage if you check your meters after the fight, but they aren't going to finish a boss off on their own like in older expansions. They still speed the fights up noticeably, though.
