Any thought on purchasing Shadowfang / Assassin's Blade's right now? Wondering what people think their value will jump to?

I don't think there will be such a frenzy for them down the road, but they will certainly only increase in value.

Assuming you're getting them for under 10 gold like you should be able to. If you're not able to then it's a crap shoot. All depends on server, activity, and demand. I still don't believe that twinking will be the popular thing everyone seems to think, there's no reason for levelers to bother queueing on the way to 60 this time around. It's a completely different situation - and we all know what happens to twink brackets without levelers for baddies to slaughter... :oops:
 
Yeah i went ahead and spent 90g figured it will be cheapest and I want to have BiS Rogue so ehh whatever will make quiet a bit dumping off a ridiculous amount of bis twink items down the road so it should pay itself back.
 
1g min, 20g max.

Shadowfang (along with multiple other BoEs) have a much higher loot probably on this client of WOW.

With that said, I don’t think a lot of these items are worth what people believe they are, especially during phase 1.

Assassin blades for 1,000g...PODs for gold cap on retail...people have pretty obnoxious prices if you ask me

I have been buying since like day 5 of server

With that being said, the drop rates are still very low and now that layering is pretty much gone, I am sure that Fangs and Sin Blades will be showing themselves on the AH for reasonable prices, but 20g max is wayyyy to low. 500-700g is my guess on Shadow Fangs and 500-1000 on Sin Blades.
 
I haven’t seen a shadowfang for anything under 150g and I’ve been scanning the AH of my server every day

I splurged on a second one for 4 g. Paid 1.5 g for the first.

Wtf does layering have to do with instanced content? There was 20x more activity at that level at launch, now it's moving upward. There's fewer available because there's fewer people doing the instance. They were cheaper because NO ONE had gold. Now all those people have a few gold in their pockets, and may have leveled up to where gold is easy to get so things are escalating. That's all.

edit- instead of spending 5 hours in queue waiting just to get into a "decent server" the low pop players were doing 5 hours of content and getting 5 hours of drops and 5 hours of gold to buy things. With 5x the reward... for now.

I haven't even seen an assassins blade yet, however. Not selling, not sold, not nada. PoD either, tho it's early for that.

Well there's the crux, isn't it?

It all depends when and how lucky you are
Even a noob that gets it to drop will search it on AH and if they see a couple for 100-150g they will think it's worth that much.

The stars have to align for you for a noob to list it in AH + he doesn't search or there's none on AH to see.

Best best is checking on the lower population faction on said realm.

Only a few, on classic* that is. Most of my friends are busy rushing to 60 & aren't too worried about twinking.

I have all of my BIS BOEs for my 19s and my friends 19s, with the exception of 3/3 wrangler's of eagles. And I am sure that i'll be able to find those myself. Thanks for the offer though.
