How is your [classic] twink coming along?

Rings are pretty basic, 3/3 Eagle and 3/3 Monkey, which will probably only be useful before the PVP vendors get added.

Yeah the 3/3 eagle one I tried to buy the other day for 25s, but with the 1 hour timer on mailing between alts, I didnt get the gold together in time and someone else purchased it. I've been considering buying a 3/3 monkey and 5+ agility ring, but I have no use for them. 2x blood rings and 2x demon bands are all I have ATM

Nice if that's gonna be a 19 watch out for XP. You basically gonna have to sit at start of instances and have person with Main clear till get too boss you need. Stuff like DM Chest can take multiple runs and that little XP you do pick up per runs can really add up!

He's lvl 17 and I already have friend from Soda's guild who's going to Master Loot all the items I need once he's 60. I did this in 2004 there's some things that I'm still struggling to remember, but for the most part it's like riding a bike. I spent 30 hours on this guy just doing PRE REQs, Professions, and exploring all zones entirely up to lvl 30 in case I decide to do world pvp once BIS. It is indeed going to be my 19 and I do appreciate the tip brother. Also if anyone can confirm or not if you can still Master Loot to the party from spawn? I'll be doing the Fishing Tournament tomorrow as well hopefully get at least boots or hat.
[doublepost=1567305711,1567305672][/doublepost]Hey man heard you got your AGM around the same time I did, congrats brother.

Everything that I've obtained was through gold I've earned on my level 11 Druid. (soon to be, 19)
I'd like to say I am doing fairly well for myself, and at this rate, I'll be able to provide BIS gear for a few friends of mine as well :)

If you're not currently leveling a main to then be able to farm for your twink you're doing it wrong.

I agree this is best but I think we are exiting primetime for parking a L1/2 future bracket twink at STV to get AGM uncontested. I'm now starting to see a lot of noobs leveling through the zone and various randos are showing interest in the Gurubashi chest and the gold it represents.

You can also just run in and die and still get the loot, and not get xp from boss. Just need to watch the ghost timer.

I am also super excited about my twink on Classic! I rolled on a new low pop server that opened Friday night, because I had a shit start on my initial server and made the error of trying Alliance.

It's the best thing that could have happened to me. I went back to my Horde home and right as the server opened I made a Rogue and started heading towards Ratchet through the Hidden Path. Immediately I see a Hunter do the exact same thing, and we both know what's about to go down. I decided to let him have the first one while I try gain some levels on him before the next drop, thinking maybe the chest wouldn't spawn in minute one of the server starting. We end up /whispering each other and a couple friendly threats later we became a team. So far we have gotten all but one, when my new friend was unable to show up to defend it with me - It happened last night when a leveller who had tried his luck the day before, levelled up as fast as he could and became a skull to me and killed me for the chest. So I stupidly took my Rogue from level 12-16 late last night to be able to fend him off, but now reading your thread, I am worried that I fucked up. I wanted to stay low level but this Druid taunted me and got my panties in a bunch, saying "LOL I was lower level than you yesterday what the fuck are you even doing!? xD" - Imagine my fury. The thing that upsets me even more is that after levelling my Rogue to be strong enough to hit him, he hasn't come to STV once and I've just blasted through 4 levels.. I was too thirsty for revenge to stop myself.

In any case, my friend is 11/12, he gets his AGM in ~2 hours. I will get mine at 6am tomorrow. I am abandoning all irrelevant quests and I am going to start exploring asap. Have I fucked it up by hitting 16?

I haven't got as much gold as you, and I wish I had read your tip about the AH sooner. It's true I wasted a lot of money putting up greens that no one wanted. I did however get cheap stuff for myself too. I try snipe as often as I can.

Working on the Green goggles now, and trying to pick up all the quests I need for quest gear to carry me over until I get the rarer pieces. Maybe I should do that to conserve XP and rather focus on dungeons?

I am seeing this too, glad I have taken the arena already because now each of us can focus on our mains and maintain control of the arena. Most of the people coming through STV now are just randoms or levellers and chancers. Waiting to see anyone come up from ally side but so far nothing.

I cant exactly confirm anything. This is my first time playing a character on a vanilla WOW client. From what I've heard from experienced players, you should be fine as a 16. Especially as a rogue.
- The only dungeon items you need are [Blackened defias chest] & [Leggings of the fang].
- The only quest items you need are [Talbar mantle].

Those 3 items can be obtained very easily with little to no experienced gained. Just discover the LFH routes in Stranglethorn, a few zones to WPVP in, and maybe Felwood for the Medicine pouch and you're golden. I think I am just being extremely cautious since this is my first playthrough and I dont want to overlevel.

Congrats on your AGM in advance! Its awesome how your competition in the arena ended up turning into your allies; the same exact thing happened to me.

I'd honestly hold off on leveling period, just to take the safe route.
Have a level 40+ run you through Deadmines for your chest (stay at the entrance of the dungeon until he gets to the last boss) then do the same for legs in WC. Once you get legs, kill the final boss of WC, loot the quest item, then unlock your BIS shoulders. Once you've done that and have discovered a few zones, then I'd suggest leveling to 19.

It is also my first Classic twink, which is why I have been both so excited about getting AGM so early and making a friend (named "Twink" xd), and also really nervous about over-levelling. I did want to make sure I got it early hence why I made sure to jump on a new server and not compete with people who have been doing this a long time. Yeah I plan to make a list of the zones I want to pvp in and Felwood too.

Congrats on your AGM in advance! Its awesome how your competition in the arena ended up turning into your allies; the same exact thing happened to me.

Yeah I am really glad because he is a really helpful guy and he works nightshift so we make a good pairing. Since his hunter outlevelled me I let him get the trinket first and the he can carry until I get mine. Then we will both focus on mains for a bit.

I meant to say shouldn't not should in this line:

It was my initial plan but after reading your OP I realised it was a terribly unnecessary thing to do.

Edit: AGM for my friend in 5 minutes!!

Finally got it. The last couple runs were hard, level 30s coming in to fight us. Today a single 30 mage came and we managed to kill him together, thanks to my Hunter friend's AGM which allowed him to live long enough to kill the mage. Now I just need to finish off Engi and will start exploring/fishing and levelling a main.

For the record, this is the first time I've ever looted the item! On retail I only have various toons with X/12.

You will be good at 16, just make sure you don't get any more xp besides from BiS item quests and areas you want to explore still.

Thank you for the guide DoByG. I've always liked the sets that lean towards Eagle for general purpose caster play.

I want to say I rocked some Gorilla gear on my shaman at this time as part of my theorycrafting set, trying to remember why. Was shaman getting ap from strength or was it already agility?

Agreed AGM now impossible, even at 3am there are L40 randos parked there.
