How would you know? (Rhetorical)

You have never done one to know. I however have done many. One premade versus an alliance guild from Lightbringer called Annihilation had me a leper gnome at least 50% of the game. Crazy good fun. But again, we were not afraid to lose and neither were they. The negotiations for the game were brief as no one tried to spin reasons to frame a victory before it started. That is fun you will never know.

This guy.

I will take it one further. No one reads replies/posts or at least stop reading if they disagree. Especially when they liken consumables to illicit drugs. You just stop reading after that.

We have been using consumables in premade competition for years. On occasion we have limited something but the reasons were for time constraints as back then the 25 minute clock did not exist and matches could last a couple hours. On the PTR we usually went without as no one wanted to do any farming. I like consumables and have more fun with them and make profession choices based on that as does my entire guild. When we premade it resembles the bracket we play in and have no desire to vainly attempt to make it something it is not by imposing a bunch of limitations.

I do not believe your stated motivations and reasons for limiting consumables. I believe you seek to bring the 15-19 bracket (or what it has become) here, complete with all the posturing and A-team, elitist mentality along with the selfish epeening endless and fruitless search for greatness some think will fill the hole in their soul.

Do I care if no one reads this reply or past the second sentence? Nope. Do I care about some flea bitten refugees from a dying bracket they helped tank say? Nope. Do I care about tiny elitist guilds who say they won't premade my guild when I know they will dodge us with a variety of reasons anyway? Nope.

Like the badger is doing we too will be growing an opposing faction guild and premade within our own network and have even more massive fun. We have nothing to prove or any desire to chase fame or have an elite reputation in the minds of the weak...the weak who pad win/loss, dodge games and remake guilds after a loss so they can make bogus claims of no losses.

Nope. This is not serious business to us. It is just good intense fun. Consumables are just part of the fun. I encourage anyone to try it if they have not already.

FYI. 5v5 in WSG favors the alliance. Average players pulled are much better geared and have better team play. I too would be looking to 5v5 Horde guilds in WSG if I were an alliance guild who is jonesing for a win.

Enjoy my wall of text you "non readers". ;)

Crit, I read your post, so I could reply.

Your opinions are as valuable as everyone else's. It is my opinion that the interspersed insults and derogatory are completely unnecessary and cheapen your argument. I hope you will consider rereading and editing your post.

I like the part where he says he's been using consumables for years in a bracket that's barely a year old.

It seems very unlikely.

sure we do. some of just think its funny that in a game based on gear(which everyone has acess to) the way to standout in a crowd is go one step further and add consumables to your twinks diet. yah, even the ones bad players have trouble adapting to.

witty quotes mask animosity, which is very rude. from what i hear, you can get banned for being rude around here.
go ahead and give yourself the week off.

Really?

I guess you have become all knowing to make a comment like that to someone who HAS been around for AGES and in premade games way before you have. You don't know everyone and statements like that are coming across as the elitist mentality you are supposedly trying to keep out of this bracket. Get off your high horse and quit attacking people for making valid statement from their experiences (ie premades with and without consumables).

Premade consumables = sewious bidnezz.

As usual your point falls short as it is misguided. Never said what you suggest.

The forums are a place for public discussion, if you have certain feelings about someone and you don't want other people voicing their opinions, I suggest you take it up with the person in a PM.

We wish the best of luck to HI and their future premades, I'm sure Sanctuary will be very accommodating. :)

If you know exactly who you are talking to then you would know that Ertai has played in some of the best 19 guilds and has probably done twice or three times as many premades as you. Your argument that more buttons = more skill is already dumb enough as it is, considering that in this case more buttons just add a higher margin for error. Think of end game where as a Resto Shaman, if I fuck up I can just pop spirit link and /lol as I keep myself alive with riptide or how my balance druid partner can just pop bear form and have the enemy rogue's eviscerates only crit for 3k. More buttons don't mean more skill. There's a reason lifeblood was called crutchblood during wrath. Finally, saying that you know exactly who you're talking to when you don't and acting in an elitist manner when you clearly have no right to just weakens your already poor argument.

Sorry for offending you. Its not my intention. I make my argument and unfortunately what we are really addressing is spin, not preference. Their spin demeans those that do not agree with them.

Addressing the underlying issue cuts to the chase. I take no issue with someone preferring something different than me. Its when they spin it that someone has to anti-spin it and point out the spin and its origin. Might be a bit rough constructive criticism for small children but small children have no place in WoW.

The argument offered by the OP is offensive and demeans anyone who has a different opinion. It also has its origins where insults are common and killing the activity of a bracket. If posts here insult the preferences of others while couching it as a question or debate I will be there where possible.

Some prefer consumables, some do not. Neither preference is evidence of skill or the lack of it. Simple as that.

Like Kratos re quoted,
if you dont like the consumables have fun premading HI, Sanctuary, and Holy Crit. (SOOOO much competition and competitive games from them)
All kratos is doing is saying why we dont allow them in OUR premades.
Not fucking yours.
So why come here and make a huge deal about it. If you dont want competitive games dont premade us.
Its that simple.

Also, Kratos, Max Gustaph is going to be so dumb. I can spam that shit Yubel.
:3

I believe its more about attempts to remove things that are readily available to anyone who is willing to put forth the effort. I mean they are no harder to aquire than agm.
Which I've never seen disband from a good premade.

I am afraid you didn't know who it was you replied to. And for butting out, I do not think I was out of line in any way to call you on your response, sorry but that was rude and involved one of my guildies on Azgalor, but that's beside the original point of why I responded. You have taken it to personal insults several times already in this thread towards others. As someone you know (me), you might have gotten the point to lay off the personal insults, but even if a message of it's gone to far comes from personal "friends" does not sit well with you either.

I guess every one ignored my point.

Premades
Should be at a higher standard than
PuGs

If you want your premades to be like PuGs then allow teams to be 6 hunters 3 healers and 1 tank. Lets just have the consumables: mana potion, health potion, and Rum. Lets not extend them Idk why this is such a hot topic in this bracket i am starting to believe that Bads do level to 24 just to over power 20s. I would like to see fair and competitive premade games between 24s like 19s. 70s have Rbgs which we do not have access too but we have to simulate them and to do that we only allow mana potions, health potions, food/drink, (rum is allowed since it is purchasable for 2silver and is in high stock it also allows more wiggle room for classes that may have low health).

Imo a better thing to discuss is whether or not engineering items should be allowed.

This issue can be argued about all day.

When it comes down to it, it's about the preference of the teams that are playing. But arrangements should be made before facing each other, because it is obviously unfair to have one team popping every consumable possible and the other team using none at all.

Which items? Any at all? Bombs are the type of consumable I think are great for 10s. Good on offense or defense, not ridiculous in any way but a great tool when coordinated.

Off the top of my head the only thing I can think that might be broken is Sappers but the enemy team really shouldn't be that bunched up anyway when they're available.

Which items did you have in mind?
