But it CAN happen, systems are in place to allow it. Intended systems. The unintended items that recreate the exact same scenario except in reverse are hotfixed and borderline "exploiting"... Both create a 10 ilvl disparity. One is "ok" tho...? o_O

The 10 ilvl disparity should be bad in both situations, not the current (eternal) terribad design of PvP.

edit- the INTENTION is to gate the bracket into one of those. thats the design, 20 should always be worse than 29.
 
I’m sure most of these OP items will get hit by a nerf bat by the time Shadowlands drops.. some of it has already been hothixed.

In all actuality I really don't think a single thing will get nerfed. Blizzard did the big initial butt-wipe with a Brawny towel to get rid of the chunks... but they historally rarely go back in with a baby wipe to clean up.

You should honestly be prepared for 2 years of terrible, just saying.

They are just going to say HOA and artifacts are part of the game, the blue end zone items are easy enough to get and they are end of story arch quest items.

They came down on a few engineering items, the dragon wtih cogwheels can't be used anymore, etc.

And if it does, you should be prepared for the old blizzard-time when it comes to fixes... it will take a year to fix anything.

i got double relics on both my warriors, and at least one relic in all their offspec artifacts. and about 3 hours of sleep to prove it lol.

just the sheer scope of pve available and the ability to have crusader on my f2p means im likely not going to invest time anywhere else. With the HOA nerf theres really no reason to even play my vets instead of my f2p.

shame i missed out on the ilvl 50 “not azerite gear” rewards, but i was making the bet that f2p would end up getting hoa access eventually. Whoops.
 
Whoa.... I was literally about to finally give in a sub two accounts to go through the rigmarole. Now the question becomes.... did I miss the boat or is the playing field a bit more level for all involved?

if anything you are at more of a disadvantage now untill the existing helm and shoulders get a level 40 req
 
So what is left to get the nerf bat? Non-gf'ed Artifact weapons, legion quest pieces and the azerite helmet and shoulders?

Be Respectful, please use the term "balance" instead of nerf.

Artifact weapons need a flat out level Req - they were just not intended to get for leveling purposes.

Azerite head and shoulders - need a req just like the HoA

Legion pieces need the i25 scaling

I believe most of the relevant engineering has been removed, or what is left scales badly at 20 anyway and does not matter.

There are a few other weapons/items that need (and will) be brought to the attention of blizzard for proper i25 scaling. That is just the community doing their job.

As mentioned before you do run into some more glass cannon issues though with gem gear, but a lot of the gem gear is super wonky and will be on par with other builds you can make out of i25-i28 gear.

But, we are not there yet.
