Best Mage Horde Race? Before I lvl Engi

Still a little torn here on a 20 mage. I have a zandalari troll but they're pretty useless now.

What race would you guys say was best for mage?

I was thinking Orc.
UD not really needed as there are no lock twinks, and I don't really get feared if i see em leveling through.
Troll for the haste? Don't know if this is better than Orc damage cd
Goblin I hear is really good? Do rockets do enough damage to justify leveling through that god awful zone again?

I hate the goblin starting zone about as much as I hate pandas... I may go orc just to blow up kids that cry about twinks in the f2p bracket.

Yes arcane is broken OP and the entire point is to punish the safe space kids crying about twinks
 
The best racial abilities are gap-closers/mobility & crowd-control.

With that said, Goblin or Panda are the best racials right now. I'd also take troll before orc, but that's just me.

Yea it matters when leveling Engi on my server is 7K+. I am just going to go orc, I can't level goblin zone again that place is like MOP expac. GROSS

Why troll over ORC? Haste doesn't seem to be a big thing for arcane. Maybe because its broken OP and doesn't really matter. Trolls are aesthetically nice though.

The difference in numbers as orc is only like, what? 1-3%? I feel like the 15% haste granted as troll is just better. Faster polymorphs, faster damage output...just my preference. However, Goblin is my go-to.

I had this same dilemma. It’s actually not that important for a mage. Undead leach is actually quite decent damage, and I chose undead for the way they look in bgs (and the racial is actually good, even if you don’t use will of the forsaken much).

I made my priest a goblin, and I would prob pick this for a mage too. Double blink is pretty overpowered. If you can bare to look like a fat panda, then their racial is also overpowered in arena, not so much in battlegrounds.

How do I get to org to turn XP off once I hit 20 if I don't complete the storyline here??? I bg the second I hit 10 so I will hit 20 before I am able to leave this island?

The goblin storyline?

The solutions are to either:
1) Not do battlegrounds at level 10.
2) Dont use BOA gear.

I have never left the goblin zone as a level 20. You shouldn't have any real problems

This is a problem for a vet account with active sub.

I could avoid doing bgs and just do the story line but i'd rather bg at 10 :d Rolled Troll
