Followup: one can't equip two shields in WoW.
 
Ret pally with runeblade is pretty ridiculous with regen, not sure how the DPS stacks up in the PvP tiers, tho.

450+ every 5 from runeblade, plus regen, plus heals and shields and freedoms and immunity.... pretty solid, I think.

edit- Really nice for PvE.
 
I've never tried that one myself, I just threw the ancient priestess on a bunch and soldier on any I actually cared about DPS..

Priestess doesnt heal from the regen, i dont think, but i was getting some procs on the pally from something.... maybe divine storm? I didn't put too much into the necks, personally, hoping there'll be upgrades down the line that will be worrh using even unenchanted.

What is the advice for meta gems, do they need gemming now or post tomorrow okay?
 
If everything goes as the PTR shows, you can actually use the higher requirement meta gems. From MoP, I think?

Req ilvl 38, for me they are easier to come by on the AH... might be everybody now if the AH is all servers for that.

edit- after patch, i mean, when the ilvl gets adjusted. Pretty sure the old ones still work too. PLUS... except the shoulder enhancement, most of that can be gotten after patch unless they change how WoD works, and best chant for rings requires the higher ilvl to apply. Some trinkets might be grandfathered, but hopefully there will be ones almost as good or better.

And it is tomorrow already here in the US, is EU not getting the patch today? Or are you another zone?

We'll find out in an hour. :) I think some players didn't gem before today. Have to see what higher level meta gems open up. And even if placing higher level meta gem in, it may scale down. I think I saw this when I placed a primal diamond in but it scaled down -1 primary stat. I was leveling in 30's bracket at the time, it went from +2 to +3 while I was leveling. Don't recall when it flipped unfortunately since the leveling is so fast now.

Hi, I'm EU I think our servers go offline at like 2am (so around 3.5 hours from now) I dont really know, I never played late into the night.
 
I think the +3agi/3% crit damage ilvl 38 gem scales down to 2/3? Not 100% on that, but it did scale lower, I believe.
*EDIT- ok wait, now I dont know.... just looked at a vid I had of that 29 rush lock and his gem said 3/3 in the helm. Was a ilvl 38 one.

Yea, in an ideal world :) Im way to slow to react to, I'd have to wait for a guide to be written or something.

ilvl 112 for 29.... check.
Dungeons show level 30+ loot..... check.

OOH, belt buckles seem to work now and accept SL gems. Ret pally is at 1166 per 10, 34% speed (addons disabled, not sure how fast actually).

The ilvl 38 gems say 4/4, not 3/3 in your bags... shows as 3/3 socketed in helm.

Enchants often seem bumped up 1 or so from retail values at 29, were on the PTR too before patch.

Edit followup: looks like same as last time. Shattrah and Dalaran working ok. Orgrimmar kablooey.

Followup 2:
  • My previous Sunwell gear stayed the same in 30's ilvl. (as Warglave said for ptr)
  • Some leftover really old heroic 30's ilvl gear stayed the same ilvl.
  • Really old rare Claw of Watcher bumped itself up to ilvl 89. I think I was level 29 when obtained. Toon is now level 30.
  • Really old rare Talisman of the Breaker bumped itself up to ilvl 89. I think I was level 29 when obtained. Toon is now level 30.
  • Really old Marrowstrike and Gaze of the Somber Keeper bumped up to ilvl 115. With this and the two rares above, I kind of wonder if these pickups from level 29 are now scaling up with current character level of 30...
  • Really old rare Power of the High Chief trinket ilvl 72.
  • Old heirlooms on the character level 30 are ilvl 82.

Just ran Iron Docks and all the drops require Level 40 now. I did get a warforge proc, but it also requires level 40. Looks like PTR dungeon changes just went live.

Good to know, I just happened to be in MoP on that pally... might avoid org for a bit.

Other than the belt buckle, i havent seen anything different than the PTR yet... gonna go test some classic/tbc/LK dungeons for warforges :KEKW:.... hopefully maybe even epic upgrades!! (too much optimism)

Well the ilvl 38 required meta look to be better than the same lower versions, so unless they patch stuff before you get it on your end they should be good choices.

Orgrimmar is working now.

More things looking at my level 29 hunter:
  • Previous Crushto's Neck Separator epic wf proc from previous WoD loot is ilvl 112.
  • Previous wotlk PoS epics are ilvl 112.
  • All ToC epics ilvl 112.
  • Heirlooms ilvl 79 for her.
  • Previous Tbc rare gear ilvl 86.
  • Previous WoD rare gear ilvl 86.
  • Previous BfA rare rings ilvl 86.
  • Green uncommon ring ilvl 81.
  • Previous crafted relic of the past level 23 ring ilvl stayed the same at ilvl 28. So massive hit for a loss.
Edit:
Adding:
  • Previous Runeblade of Baron Rivendare is ilvl 112. So seems epics are across the board 112 and not varying ilvl.
  • Brutal gladiator epics stay at ilvl 33/34
  • Dark Iron Pulverizer rare stays at ilvl 28
  • Jagged Obsidian shield epic stays at ilvl 29. So all true from what people were seeing on beta and ptr.

Dungeon epics are 112, the world ones arent.... are they? I thin they were like 72 82 or something on the PTR.

*edit- epic proc grekas dentures is ilvl 82.

edit- side note, burning rush warlock is 200% sustained speed. :KEKW:
