Horde huntards can be just as OP as alliance. Pamlo @ Karazhan - Game Guide - World of Warcraft is the only survival cow I could find on Lofi's list, and while he lacks hit, and a couple other minor things, that's 2k fully buffed auto shooting and CCing like a boss. Throw a couple healers into the mix and that cow is easily a match for any alliance huntard.

Horde clothies have a slight advantage.

Horde and ally mail is fairly comparable.

BE and human have the best racials.

Overall, it's pretty balanced as far as factions go. The main reason it seems so unbalanced is all the 700HP trash floating around skewing the results. I still see people getting one shot, without mounts, keyboard turning or backpedaling.

Here we go again, people being ignorant. New players who have never played this game/pvped before are in this bracket, deal with it. The only thing "trash"y about that is how you treat them, Kale.

Try to educate them instead of calling them trash.

But my good sir, you can not educate role playing trash in the fine art of "pvp" nor can you teach a 10 year old playing a huntard why strafing is so much more beneficial than backpedaling.

And heaven forbid you teach those paladins that they can heal others! because sir that is HERESY!!!!!

In PvE there are trash mobs and bosses. I simply use the the term in the same sense. Easily discarded and dispatched. There are such players on both sides. I reguarly see alliance without the eyepatch. Huntards using riot stick. Any number of things. I tend not to say anything to them. I don't mind that they're there. Not everyone wants to be any good at the game. Many are casuals that are just there to amuse themselves, not be the best.

I lol'd so hard at that. Seems like Kale is a boss because he always has a skull above his head. Or does that mean 'main kill priority' ?:)

Alliance having the advantage is a truth! Surely you can outgear some alliance toons but the MAJORITY of the horde due to eyepatch will not. Most people are just too lazy on Horde to get LFH therefore will always use goggles. One character doesn't make a game but the MAJORITY does. Alliance players on average have 1100-1300 hp while horde has 800-1100hp. It's a notable difference.

This bracket will pretty much fail if their are no 24 Horde.

To the the headmaster charge, you have the farmm bgs for a very long time. Many people reroll before they even come close to get it. Go Horde, inspect the casters and see how many have it. Cause its a minority.

I used to be a troll like you, till I took an arrow to the.........

Riot stick is a alliance only level 30 quest blue when if your a horde caster you have to use things like emberstone staff before you have enough honor to get Dignified Headmaster Charge, which takes a LONG time! Alot of Horde casters don't have Garosh's Pardon while if you'r Alliace you can EASILY get something with very similar stats(gloaming band). You can't exactly call Horde casters an advantage.

All in all, Alliance wins more than Horde. That, mah troll, is a FACT!

    - Gloaming Band and Garrosh Pardon are both easy to get. Garrosh Pardon is even better.
    - Hitcapping as Alliance Cloth caster means you'll have to "sacriface" stats in comparison to Horde, who has an easy to get Hit Wand
    - Riot Stick can't be compared to DHC, ever. Both factions will need to farm it. Horde atleast can get close to a hitcap, while Alliance cannot.

PS: GSoJ = Grand Staff of Jordan, which is better than DHC anyway.

In response to your staff argument, the mage/warlock quest staves 7 stam, 5 int, 5 hit should be used by default just because of its easy ability to help hit cap (assuming that if you're just starting out as a clothie you'll have flying tiger goggles as well). But maybe you're overlooking hit cap for sheer stats due to the fact that you were concerned about the JP Staff rather than GSOJ.

Two the Garrosh's pardon chain takes about 30 minutes. If you don't have it you're lazy and its as simple as that. The only chain that takes ridiculously long is the Silverpine one. Not kidding, that was absolute hell. Now although this is comparing shamans, the same applies for a lot of casters.

Resòurce @ Aerie Peak - Game Guide - World of Warcraft
    vs
Arenashameng @ Aerie Peak - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

The two shamans have very comparable stats (mainly due to my lack of magicians mantle on horde) in all areas but one. The alliance shaman has 12.7% crit and the horde is sitting at 19.5%. Other people may disagree with me but crit is gigantic on any caster. 1 out of 5 (obviously this doesn't hold true all the time) of my heals will be healing for 850+. It helps conserve mana, fights against hunter burst etc.

If you want to look at a clothie, stillwater's and garrosh are still there. Slippers of unturned loyalties (or whatever the hit ones are) merger's boots and the other kind. The spirit boots. I feel like there are a lot more that I'm missing but I hope you get the point. Horde definitely have a large clothie/caster advantage. Even with mail there are tons of good opportunities on horde. Kale's observation was right when he said alliance have the leather advantage, horde the clothie, and they're about even for mail.

One of the more interesting things about MP as it applies to 20s is that hit rating will give more hit % per point, the cap itself will be less. To counter this, ranged and magic attacks will require expertise to avoid being dodged or parried. Another thing to note about warriors is that as orcs, as well as the temporary AP boost and reduced stun time, they also get expertise from the only BiS choice for 2H, the BoA axe. Even the pre BoA BiS 2H are both axes.

None of this is what the OP really has a problem with though, and that's how much many people that play horde suck. Plenty of people that play alliance suck equally, but for some reason, more of them are attracted to horde. Lazy people like horde. That's the real problem. Anyway, complaining about it won't change anything. It's not the fault of the gear choices available to starter accounts. It's more about the fact that US horde tend to be trash. It's much less of an issue in EU where the same gear options are available, but a different pool of players in the game.

The better horde cloth gear would be relevant if the average 80% of ally players werent eyepatch users.
The fact that alliance has 300-400 more team hp as average.
Shadowmeld (and the 2% of not being hit) and EMFH

But then I think if those ally huntard baddies rolled a horde non hunter class, they would end having scores of 0-30
