My friends said that they got in a group finder for the rares and got summoned into the area. I tried it this morning and it didn’t work, I was phased in old arathi. I think they patched it
340 ilvl epics for 110-119?

I see. When did your friends try it instead? Did they do some particular quests/did something beforehand you did not?

No, they didn’t mention anything like that. They were just 110 twinks that got in a group finder with a raid group of like 15+ people and got summoned in. They did it on friday, but I’m guessing due to the amount of attention this got, it was patched. Didn’t work for me at least

Disappointing... half of twinking is figuring out ways to become more powerful that Blizzard didn't think about and then getting them... and you want to report people for doing that?
The 810s/910s were a similiar situation in Legion, yet no one talked about reporting people with them or talking to Blizzard about having them fix it...

This sounds like the logical conclusion of a twinking environment devoid of any morality. The meta of all metas is to exploit for your gear, keep it hidden, and report anyone else using it. Then when it’s patched out and all this is forgotten, you can be a giant among noobs as well as a giant among twinks. Talk about the pinnacle of twinking... How you gonna shame someone for doing that?

So what's the point of having a twinking community if you are not going to share information and help eachother? The whole reason for this site is to make twinks better. Some of you only care about yourselves, and if you can't have it no one can. When I see someone with something GF'd or Maxed out, i'm happy for them. I whisper them and tell them how awesome they are, but i'm just old school.

A lot of twinks are doing public content with the gear. Either not thinking or not caring about how doing so will result in greater public knowledge of the exploit used to farm the gear. Before the majority of us are even able to build up a full set it gets patched due to overuse within public content. That would be why some of us don't want to share knowledge of the exploit. Some of us don't care about using it in pvp because we're already gods in pvp. Using the gear in islands to farm a higher neck rank before then inevitable patching/removal of the gear is by far a smarter use of the gear. I've talked to many 110 twinks about the matter and overwhelmingly we conclude that those who use the gear in public are going to ruin this for the majority of us. Often the response to those who do use it in public content is "I don't care I have other accounts" or "blizzard won't remove the gear" ilvl 180 gear is evidence enough that blizzard does not tolerate use of exploited gear. At the moment I know blizzard knows about this because I have heard of 2 instances of 110 twinks being stripped of the gear. The patching of the process might not be a priority for blizzard at the moment due to the overwhelming amounts of other game breaking bugs. I assure you though that greater public use of the gear will result in a swifter action on blizzards part.

I understand your logic, however, those that wish to report players for use of this gear just so they can be gods in pvp will only themselves be reported for using the gear in public. Don't throw away possible months of farming so you can be a god for 1-2 weeks in a BG bracket your already a god in.

My point is it's funny that people will throw stones while in a glass house. The very fact that we're 3 pages into this thread and still no public knowledge of how to get this gear is proof enough that people aren't playing fair (ie, it's an exploit). So that people would report while doing the exploit themselves is just not playing fair against people not playing fair. I have little sympathy for those who complain against the people reporting.

One thing about the twinking bracket in a new expansion is a few idiots can ruin it for all of us. All it takes is the Dev's to see we are breaking far too many rules with this method and slap us nice and hard on the wrists with some sort of a 'balance' patch again for 110-120's.
So I will leave this here, feel free to ask this fella how he did it. For the rest of the expansion it would be nice to see us work together instead of working against each other.

People who pvp with said gear deserve to be reported though I personally wouldn't report people for anything. I'm not inclined to ruin someone else playtime. Twinking is about pushing the limits. SMART twinks dont exploit and go into public content with said exploits. Some of us just want to see the numbers climb, not be king of the BG. There are several ways to twink. Don't narrow it down to just your view of twinking. The mere fact anyone feels the need to report players just means 2 things. People are idiots and are publicly exploiting (they deserve what comes to them) and the reporters feel the need to ruin someone else play time either due to some ego driven thing or due to the fact that idiots are publicly exploiting. This all goes back to this imo: Public discussion of exploits is overall counter productive. The OP of this thread lost a lot of respect for even making the thread. Several people within this thread have been reported or have reported others. The thread will end up getting several people stripped/banned. Overall a bad thread for the sites community and an overall shame. Go back and read from page 1. No one will think it was a good idea for this thread to be made. Those against exploited gear don't like it. Those for exploited gear don't like it. Things like this should always remain behind closed doors. it minimizes the amount of exploiters while are the same time minimizing the risk for the exploiters. A WIN/WIN for both sides.
