Could you let it go. If you have no intention of seeing the 29s come back, then stop posting.

I'm personally surprised he can tie his shoes in under 2 minutes.

19s ran into problems the summer of 2010, before the battlegroup merge. As for complaining, 29s got to a point where every thread got deleted several times in a row. We were literally on the CM hitlist for a month. No other bracket I know of achieved that dubious distinction before or since.

I believe both the 19s and 60s received blueposts similar to ours.

You know the thread deletions were mostly thanks to Willyshatner and Kowdasian. Both are trolls of the bracket and it was totally unrelated to whatever anti-hunter sentiment we had going on.

Trolling as some of their posts were, they also brought up valid points. And plenty of others contributed. It took a serious group effort to make that big of a mess.

In a way, it showed us many people cared about the bracket.

We as 29s can point to a lot of sources of trouble for the bracket, and back up the blame with some good evidence. But XP-off brackets don't succeed just by avoiding pitfalls. They succeed by promoting strengths.

Every bracket has its trolling. Every bracket has its misanthropic behavior. Successful brackets acknowledge the existence of these, and relentlessly pursue the strengths of the bracket. The day 29s realize the pitfalls don't threaten the strengths anywhere near as much as we fear, is the day 29s return to claim the games that made this bracket great.

I believe both the 19s and 60s received blueposts similar to ours.

Indeed they did, as did 39s. In fact, 39s came the closest to 29s for a thread deletion "hot streak", knocking out five or six in a row. 29s beat them by getting main threads and fight night threads hosed in parallel. You could say we out-d.p.s.'d them (deletions per subject)

No, I will not. YOU of all people have no business talking about 'letting things go.' You're also out of line by trying to talk about reviving the bracket. It's like Hugh Heffner trying to protest against pornography. You're the EXACT type of person who ruined the bracket to begin with.

I would rather see the bracket stay dead than watch it get defibrillated for days/weeks/months by an overzealous 6 yr old with grandma's emergency paddles.

And you wonder why no one wants to play with you.

No, I have no interest in ever returning to this shit game, I just wanted to take this time for station identification to call you fucking retarded.

That is all.

edit - are you willyshatner? because I rarely see anyone else who just refuses to see anyone else's point of view other than his own. I honestly have no idea who you are.

ITT: players that played MAYBE once a month trying to act as if they know how and why things went down the way they did

you know who you are

Seems like Willy on another account. There is no fucking way he hasn't responded to this thread yet.

It takes 20 like-minded people with similar nightly schedules to have a small community of 29s like the one we had during the spring. Until those people feel like getting games, the bracket will be dead. If the bracket grows to the point where randoms in shit gear; Hunters; FAP/Swifters; or duelist calibur communicating players amass, then the bracket will decline and die.

Small is beautiful.

Willy and Kow trolled by reporting our threads when anyone dared disagreed with them. This happened so much, whole threads would be wiped out. Also, I don't think gigz is willy. Maybe he was in MB, who knows and who cares? Show up Tuesday or Thursday and prove him wrong maybe?

i managed to keep queing even during all the drama but i could see how it would be a huge turn off. ill keep queing to try and get games going on scheduled nights.

Small is best. We get to know small. Because we get to know them, they start feeling responsibility for the welfare of the bracket. 19s, 24s, 70s, and 85s, are capitalist states; you can enjoy your time at the expense of others. 29s, 39s, and 49s are socialist; the needs of the many are put above the needs of the few. 29s have exercised their right to veto games until proper balance is again achieved.

Small is not best. Small is a short term solution to not having activity. In the end, small always kills itself. You cannot have a sustained bracket by keeping it small. If just a few people are unable to queue (for whatever reason) it jeopardizes the entire bracket. You might be okay with that Mr Socialist, but the 'greater good' is actually much more than just a handful of people. As Bwappo stated, things have changed. You don't get to have polarized activity anymore. It just isn't going to happen.

Hasn't that been proven to you yet?

PS. Lulz at you acting like the 29s are a form of government. There's nothing to govern...

your decision to not queue comes at the expense of everyone else who:

1) wants to play 29s

2) doesn't give a fuck about all the things you complain about

this is a terribly simplified analogy to begin with, and you still messed it up
