Whining about how your class feels squishy and then dismissing a blanket 10% dmg reduction is just a wild choice.

The class is squishy, your opinion on it is irrelevant. BGs are not just 1 person hitting a training dummy... typically you die just as fast with 33% verse (I don't know if arenas have warped your perspective or whatever). The pug burst damage is too high, it is what it is.

I'm done with the entire insanity of acting like 10% matters when people are doing 1800 and 3k on crits... wrap it up.

He asked for an upgrade... the upgrade is just slap on agility and mastery and nuke people. If he plays with pocket heals, it does not matter what he does and agility/mastery will net the biggest damage.

I dunno man, I finished my shaman a couple weeks ago and find the class be pretty tanky in pugs, actually. And I only run about 8% dmg reduction in BGs.

I would only use the Desolation 4 piece (legs) IF you are going with an all proc build... trinkets, dancing steele, etc... the whole agility proc bag... by themselves they are strictly worse than wyrmscale greaves.

I also have the most success with the plasma shield on the belt (its 750 in a BG so it lets you take some fat kids aimedshot/chaosbolt), and use thirdwind potions (the healing injector on the belt shares the same cooldown, so it's ass)... you just die in seconds as enhance and they do help.

And also just mentally prepare yourself for playing enhance... I swear it feels like enhance takes double damage.. and that is not a joke.

Oh, Thundercharge is picked because I was fooling around with it. I just didn't do any pvp on Enhance yet so I didn't bother changing it up hahaha

About the desolation proc, I like it but yeah, I figured it would not be enough by itself. I was planning to pair it with Giantstalker's Guile but then I kind of decided not to because I didn't want to give up the stats from the dragonling. Back to OHF grind I guess... but hey, at least my Enhance was pretty lucky with that dungeon and I dropped the desolation chest in 2 runs! Maybe the RNG gods will bless me with farming the greaves for the 3rd time x)

Plasma shield is the one from BFA Engineering, yeah? If I'm not mistaken, it scales off of Versatility doesn't it? Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out.

Maybe we just have different defs of "tanky"... "tanky" to me means you can get into a fight without a dedicated healer and "do ok"... I don't know how hard you think somebody like NoContest or Smile hits... but, you live for .5 seconds.... maybe, if their cooldowns are all fucked up.

Tanky to me would mean that I can take some hits with 15% verse or whatever... then heal, etc... you just get stunned then die.

It sounds to me more like you are just in the games I mentioned... some you just win... but where as an actual mega DPS can turn the tide of the fight... enhance is just along for the ride and if the game goes well, great... if it does not, you are dead.

I don't see how anybody can say "enhance is tanky". It seems like an arbitrary fun word.

To be clear, this ALL IS ON TOPIC since it reflects on gear choice. Mastery just gives you way more options. Having SIGNIFICANT damage at range when you do notice that "running in with stormstrike" might not work, is one of the best features of enhance play.

Youre better off with shamblehide than desolation chest if youre not going for the 4 pieces set bonus, since it offers an extra agility point.

Yep you got it, not that they all do similar damage... I'll just change up my verse to 15% and go ham. Good thing I posted here, I was all wrong.
 
I personally invested a crap ton of time into building my shaman with multiple different builds (heavy vers, heavy agil, mastery, haste, dungeon). And really enjoy playing it but I do feel like like it is either 1.squishy af or 2.horde just REALLY enjoy attacking me or 3. Both.

I will say idk what I did to deserve all the tunneling on me. Maybe it’s the idiot mongoloid in me. But feels like a lot of the time y’all hordies go out of your way to chase me down. No matter what toon im playing. I just was top damage received as a fricken fire mage the other day being chased by 3 survs. I couldn’t help but laugh at the out come of the game with my team winning but me having 16 deaths. I guess sometimes it’s the little Victories that are the sweetest of them all! .

But I have digress I have to agree of all
My sets on my shaman, my mastery set seems to have shown me the most success. Though the heavy haste set is ALOT of fun in the right situations.
 
When things are even versatility is useful, when they are not, it is the most useless stat (in the past it was the only secondary damage modifier, not the case now... and especially on an enhance) , no way around it. It was designed with that in mind. In a pug, just agility/mastery/haste out and hope for heals.

Enhance is just in a bad place right now... get over it.

And again and again and again and again and again and again... just que with heals and its much better.

Just don't misrepresent the spec as it is right now, its low damage, healing based on mana not energy like a WW (which means you get about 4 then you die/drink), you have a few slows and no stun... it's not great... gear with that in mind.

I am loving outlaw, I love the mobility from grappling hook (survival hunter endgame main) and the stealth aspect!

I like high haste because I'm a big button masher, but I built higher crit as well because I don't just want to tickle people!

Hopefully somebody/people can have a little look and maybe make some recommendations? Open to anything really!

This is my main and first twink, so ideally need an experienced look over!

I'd try to get versa on every piece as you can't get it any other way.

Go get Cudgel of Naralex for your main hand and put the blackout truncheon in the off hand. It's awesome and even better if you proc an upgrade.

Minor Speed to boots will stack with the in-stealth move speed bonus you get from being NE, while your current enchant does not.

Get the Precious Bloodthorn loop from WOD for an extra vanish (BG and open world only, doesnt work in arena)

I'll also second Ivo and say run harmonious or quickblade belt and boots. Mastery on Outlaw is kinda cool but you dont have much and theres a really good place to pick up some more. Or just more crit, which never hurts.

I have the lovely ring from WOD, forgot to equip it!
Also, bought some quickblade boots and a belt! Done the enchants suggested!

Wish me luck for the mace upgrade!
 
I've come to the point where I am satisfied with my gear and would like input on where to go next. I've done a lot of testing now with different secondaries and I'm super happy with how these perform in terms of both playstyle and raw DPS.

My current thoughts as to what options I can do for upgrades are as follows. I'd love to know if there is something I'm missing or under/overestimating. Do I:
A) Farm Stratholme / https://www.wowhead.com/item=10752/emerald-encrusted-chest for the https://www.wowhead.com/item=10608/schematic-sniper-scope from which all I am going off is this comment from the forums?
B) Stop playing FOTM and re-roll something more balanced? :Kapp:
C) Farm or create legion epics to disenchant in order to get the +1/+2 ring enchants and also the neck enchants? I currently have the +1 WOD enchants which stay +1 in BG compared to the legion ones.
D) Farm a few (thousand?) dozen murlocs or something and try my luck and getting legion epic rings/neck/whatever fate decides (and maybe, if I behave, a socketed epic) e.g. https://www.wowhead.com/item=141581?ilvl=28 and https://www.wowhead.com/item=141588?ilvl=28?
E) Anything else I can improve or farm?
