20s "Audit" Thread

*Disclaimer this is coming from someone who hasn't done serious wargames or arena*

This is a super small thing that almost definitely doesn't matter but I don't get the belt choice especially when paired with those gloves as they seem to be made from opposite perspectives.


7int/3haste/10vers compared to 9int/4crit/8vers
If you consider crit a dead stat or you gave up on farming Mindfire then this choice checks out but otherwise im not so sure about it

I brought up the gloves because you were faced with a similar choice in that slot and seemed to choose opposite

9int/8vers compared to 7int/5crit/8vers but the crit could be replaced with haste/mastery. The gloves in that example also could have even had a higher vers allotment to make up for the slight loss when opting for mindfire.

It just feels like an odd inconsistency or an attempt to balance primary/secondary weights that left some secondaries behind that you coulda had if you just put the ilvl28 in the other slot. If the gloves in my example had been aurora instead of quickblade then you would essentially just be trading 2 vers for 2 haste and 4 crit.

I also get that ilvl 28s can't really be planned around when it comes to specific stat balances but this could be something to keep in mind while farming

Edit: I threw the boots into the comparison tables as well since its the same deal and pretended my green hands were aurora instead of quickblade for presentation purposes as well

 

Just gonna jump in to agree with Kaxle, the belt and boots is odd given the glove choice. Gholamcloth Wrap if blue or epic or Mindfire Belt if it stays green. The belt gives much more stats than the gloves and the boots give equal stats to the gloves.

I mainly want to play arena skirmishes and be flexible in BGs. Pretty decent damage and fun to play in BGs/arena but after bramble nerf, been thinking about switching things up slightly.

The main things I need to replace are ring (probably going to spam BFA for a socketed ring and cloak) and also do some BFA quests to hope for a lucky roll / socketed weapon. I'd also be interested in flag carrying or going feral (show off that mage tower skin coming out in 9.1.5), but not sure how good Guardians are currently (in either arena or bgs).

bfa quests cant proc socket, dungeons and rares can though. You can also farm green ilvl 25s with a level 21-23 in the first 2 BfA zones. FCing requires alot of talasites and tbc gear because of the socket slots. Guardian is a pretty good spec with the damage from brambles but it requires alot of healing from your team.

 

Yes, dont go guardian for FC, I didnt really read the post like that so if thats what you were asking Ill concur with the boys above, resto is much much better for that a guardian would be purely as a decoy and distraction in bgs but with some good numbers to show for it and I forgot to answer in my post that I dont see Guardian being very viable in arenas either.

 

Adding to what has already been said, you'll get the best performance from Claws of Ursoc as a weapon, since it allows you to get an offhand weapon enchant, either Elemental Force or +Agi.

For feral, you NEED your mainhand enchant to be +Weapon Damage. Either Superior Striking or Major Striking.

And I'll add another voice to Chops' boot enchant critique. As Druid you want Minor Speed.

Yea I think I'm gonna get gnarled staff. RE: 10% haste, honestly my sub was running out and i wanted to slap some socketed green gear in before it. 10% haste does play pretty well though but it wasn't intentional. I'll need to finish enchanting too (got some in my stash but waiting for the 'right' pieces to drop now)

I have moonchild leggings in my stash but thought the leech may have been worth? I think the stats are pretty similar but trading more secondary for tertiary

I don't think I have enough talasites, gotta check though but could slap some stuff in. Also is 1h + offhand the move now for Feral weapons?

Is Feral druid versatile and good in arena or are they a meme? Would actually be super interested in a tier list (if that even exists) Arena is probably going to be my main

 

Moonchild is 3 sockets vs 1 so you lose 4-6 agi depending on gems using other pants.

Unholy set is below, all greens are Feverflare and all but two of them are mastery heavy


-I have Crusader scrolls in my bags just need to decide which weapons I want to use post ilvl49 nerf. Have 2 for DW then 2 for 2H
-Already have a ilvl28 Feverflare socket cape ready for unholy the next time I resub
-Have ilvl28 harm (socketless) and feverflare (socket) necks for when I can't use the ilvl44s
-Have a glove enchant for the Unholy just haven't applied it yet because reasons
-Remaining socketed rings and neck will happen when it happens
-speed/leech is also a itll happen when it happens type deal

 

I would assume Crow Wing Reaper is better because of the sockets?

 

Theres no point using 2 str 2 stam really, talasites and 3 str are gonna give the same stats but you get armor too.

 

People seem to forget this yeah.
Yeah for every third gem you go a talasite. And you basically get free armor.
