You're off base. I've never claimed to be the Michael Jordan of that era - that was a competition between Obliviate and Atax (not that they were really competing for it - just the two Michael Jordan's then). FYI - there is no Lebron now in twinking. My most important accomplishments, by far, were all team based. Seeing a guild that was launched by a group of RL friends that grew to include many new friends rise to the top of twinking outshines anything I've ever done individually or in smaller groups. And I know a lot of the other top guilds had the same roots. We didn't create a feeder system where every cooker cutter feeds up from one guild to the next to suddenly get to the "best" guild...which may be best because it pilferered the best from the competition.

I don't need to post videos and pictures - not my style. I know I'm doing very well. I rarely lose in arena and in WSG I contribute greatly to my team winning. And right now I'm working on being part of a new group of team based accomplishments. And to make it 100 times better, it's going to involve a lot of old friends (or their friends) that get no respect today. That's what matters most to me.

PS: Michael Jordan has made a commercial demonstrating he's better than Lebron. Get with the times. ;)

So to continue the analogy, when I see MJ out on the court demonstrating he's still the best I'll believe it. Same with you MYT you have plenty of time to prove it. 6 months between now and the twink cup to form a team and win

Couldn't agree with you more sir.

In the midst of all the trash I've talked in defense of myself, what you won't find is anything claiming I am the best now or that my team is either. We have to earn that. It's easy to confuse me combating a caricature that I'm horrible coming from lots of people that I have played and have beaten, and me claiming to be the best. It's 100% of the former and 0% the latter.

Props bigmoran for the well phrased tweet, this is almost like a milestone.

please update the twink cup forum post to be more informative. possibly include a link to the official 10-19 forum post Hunnybuns19

also the official 10-19 thread could use some additions like an armory section just to help anyone who is interested in making a team. Pizza

Anyone know if the rules and regulation for BG matches have been established or when they will be? Never to early to start thinking about comps and stuff. Like how many of a certain class, number of stealthies, will ferals be allowed, etc.

rules havent been decided nor has format but this is what I propose Myrm this is just a rough rule set.

Battle ground rules

No more than 2 of a class

No more than two tank classes (ie FC and a BM monk)

No more than 2 stealth classes (resto Druids don't count towards this)

3v3 Arena rules

No more than 1 of a class

No tank classes

No more than one stealth class

No more than one healer

you may make 1 spec(class changes aswell maybe?) change per game

also, there is a new interface option and an addon to help spectate arena and I think rbg war game matches this would not require teams to have a stream up if we have a dedicated commentary stream this would allow us to have a twink cup specific twitch

You can't really make class comp rules now when things could change drastically in 6 months. However, if the twink cup were to start today, feral druids would have to be outright banned.

the rules are pretty general honestly I don't think anything would have to be changed other than some class restrictions if any drastic changes are made.

2 of a class limit would mean making the choice between GDruid and Boomkin or Gdruid and feral. But a ban of ferals is somthing I'd support.

also, discussing this on the official forums thread may be better more accessible and it will keep the thread bumped :)

Allowing ferals takes any skill and strat out of the tournament since they can one shot an efc with stacks... The ban is obvious if ferals remain unchanged.

Ferals banned and the rules I proposed are still going to work. Can we turn the twink cup thread into a discussion thread? It'd give us more exposure

What I see are a lot of current twinks trying to impose rules to favor their style of play.

Outlawing a spec is absurd. So what if they sometimes can one shot a stacked druid - it's part of the game. Learn to adapt. Maybe you impose reasonable rules such as 2 of a class and they can't be the same spec....etc. But outright banning a spec is absurd.

Teams that only know how to stand in middle and push 5 buttons trying to force rules that make everyone else stand in middle and spam 5 buttons. It's absurd.

When there's a death match BG for 19 and the tourney is held there you may get your wish....but quit trying to manipulate the tournament organizers to give yourselves an unfair advantage.

My $0.02.

Since the TwinkCup got some official attention, maybe someone should take the chance and ask about a fix of the queue bug? With the attention from the Cup in the back it might be worth a try? Also asking for /who 19 back could be worth a try. Guildspam isnt really an issue since Wod so they might change it for us. Always remember they also inplemented skirms for us after we asked them. If changes arent to much work or dont have negative effects on others, they will consider it.

You can't survive a 1 shot from a 5 point bite. You can't adapt to live a oneshot, period.

How does banning ferals force teams to stand in mid and push 5 buttons? Allowing ferals in their current state is absurd, it takes any skill out of the twink cup. A team will simply turtle until stacks and then kill efc with the feral. Nearly everybody in the community with a brain understands that. You keep ferals and nobody will even want to play.

Good point. We should really get their attention for the bugged ques. Having broken ques will not help activity grow leading up to the twink cup. Also, it would be nice to have /who 19 back. Maybe if we proposed having it for lvl 15 and up, so that people can find groups for dungeons, that might make sense to them.

There's ways to mitigate it.

From my perspective I can't fail to notice that SR doesn't have a feral that is impressive. Neither do the so called best alliance guilds. I've seen one really good feral my entire time playing 19 since I returned, and he's horde and not in SR. Not going to derail the thread by pointing out who it is but it should be obvious. He's mastered his class - why should he be banned from using that to his team's advantage in game, or others that want to master it is well?

You mentioned that people would ADAPT by turtling until there's stacks and then having feral returns. Sounds like strategies/tactical adjustments to me, and those would work until someone else made a better one to adjust to your adjustment.

Again, banning ferals supports the position that middle fighting is all that matters. You leave ferals in and you middle fight all game, you lose. And I think that's what's driving this - the desire to protect the status quo. At least that's what is driving some people.

You'll always see me supporting less rules.....WAY too many rules in place to support a dumb downed game that is 90% middle fighting because of it. Open it up and let people do their thing and see who adapts best and wins, in my opinion.

EDIT: If middle fighting and spamming buttons is indeed best strategy, let it be proven by winning that way - rather than changing rules so that it's only way to play.

I stopped reading after SR doesn't have a feral that's impressive. We barely queued at all except for a few select people over break. It takes no skill to 1 shot bite an efc. You can't adjust to a feral one shot. SR won the twink cup last year by playing objectives better than everyone else, go watch the old vods on hbs stream, we got rolled in mid every game on purpose against ATW. Banning ferals does not give us an advantage, if anything it gives everybody an even playing field that doesn't involve 1 shot ferals deciding games. I'm not arguing the point anymore as I can pretty much guarentee you are the only person foolish enough to think ferals should be allowed in their current state.
