Paid Character services on a F2P very possible.

Whats the point to this? You cant mail, you cant access guild bank, you cant trade, you can't access AH. You'd have to farm like 5k gold as a 20 in order to buy the guild BoAs. It gives you no real advantage in pvp (unless you actually farm the gold and buy the BoAs). You can get bank tabs and ect but is that really worth a potential ban on a toon you spent hours to twink? I know its not a ban but if enough people do it, there'll be one. And also, whoever posted that pic of the enchants in their bank, thats not possible either. There is no way to get those unless you raise your enchanting that high. And as a level 20, you cant raise it that high.

1. What is the point to this? You can change race / faction / name
2. For the last time its not a ban its account lock for payment error and its stupidly easy to get it unlocked.
3. The point of this isn't to get BoA's
4. You take the enchants from a GB you deposited them on

Don't comment until you know what it is you are talking about because right not you're being as cancerous as the rest of this thread.

You cant access guild bank. And dont get fiesty. My post cearly states that I know its not a ban but it will turn into a ban if more and more people do it. Its risking your account. You just want to make money selling those codes which is crossing another line itself.

This exploit doesn't require any false info at all. Not by doing it the way I "discovered" (not sure if OP uses the same way).

I'm not sure where people even got that idea from to begin with.

knowingly using a credit card with no funds on it is just the same.

It is completely different to that analogy though, its more along the lines of illegally downloading a piece of music but instead of being able to keep the music it gets deleted after 24 hours. So you could only listen to the music for the 24 hours.

Calling someone a criminal for doing this is fair enough, but they are the same kind of criminal as someone who has illegally downloaded music which I can guarantee a very large portion of this community has done.

Edit: inb4 flame, I use spotify

there's sites all over the internet you can DL music from. none of them need you to falsify details to do so.

this works the same way gold scammers obtain the cheap Xmog helms from the blizz store. when blizz realize they're people silly enough to do this, to faction a f2p, i'll bet my b***s it's bannable.

not @ anyone:

if you can't see the moral problem with this, but you can p2ps. there's something wrong with you.... or you're just plain greedy.

The text you just quoted me on, I wasn't on about the false details was I? I was talking about the fact of calling this process stealing. Ill throw another analogy out there though to compare the false details crime that you feel so strongly about...

Have you ever signed up for a website for i dont know a competition? but used a fake email or even a fake name/telephone number to avoid a constant spam that you know you are going to get, or even to avoid your details getting sold on to companies (which does happen alot)? Thats using false information and you can call it fraud all you like but i can guarantee it is very very common and I would not look down upon someone for doing so...

Also there has been several people now stating that no false details are used at all, so if thats the case surely your whole argument on it being fraud is invalid?

Edit: I sound like I actually agree with the process absolutely and am coming across like im advising people to do it. If this is the case, im not at all but just disagree with some of the points people are putting against it

Id also rather just agree to disagree on this now though

It''s not illegal to buy something and not being able to pay for it.

edit: this taken out of context might sound wrong, but I think you understand what I mean?

lets say i give you a cheque for one of your accounts, knowing it will bounce. IF you could prove i did it intentionally, then yes, it would be illegal.

it's in no way illegal to make a mistake when giving your credit card details. it's only when it's intentionally, it becomes illegal. if you think about it, there isn't much that is illegal... IF you can prove it was a mistake.

this thread is doing my head in. GL to you all. and if the worst happens i'll send you a cake with i file in it :p

That is exactly my point. I don't think anyone here did it intentionally? I wanted to upgrade my f2p so I could finally play end-game..

what makes me laugh is all the rage I see over p2p's and there morals, yet as this thread shows, 90% of f2ps are just too greedy or skint to pay the sub or they would!!! seems no one plays f2p because its more fun than p2p...

spoiled being able to alter ur char while people that only play f2p have gotten used to the no faction change or race change etc.

Wish people would stop trying to use this reasoning to defend this... I know that's the reason OP probably made this and was his intention however people are just using this to exploit boas/chants or obtain higher lv things not available with F2P restrictions so they don't gotta spend a dime.. I'd bet there's been 25 people exploiting this to get one of the things I mentioned and maybe 3 at most who's used it for a faction/race/server change..

Seeing the reasoning people are using it, yes it is extremely dumb for a "F2P" to exploit this to become a P2P even when they have a P2P account.

Your face when you realise those who do this already pay for atleast one sub.

then i'd of put the toon on my p2p account and saved my self all this hassle, you dont have to chant up if you dont wont to. but in reality there's only a hand full of sub payers doing this.

i have a sub and dont do this, can I have a cookie and maybe a diploma?

not really if u think about it.

people should be aware of what theyre doing when they play on a f2p account..

if you know youre addicted to the p2p luxury (lol) then you shouldnt play on a f2p account, simple as that
