Fun with Enhancement builds

I have enough gear now to comfortably say this goofy build is 100% viable enough. Not going to worry about explaining why, ill be done w him in abt 10 days and I absolutely will be playing this weird little experiment. Hope you guys get a chance to see it in action.

As per most of my builds (100% this one is not my build, thank you Jade again for this exellent idea I have already had allot of fun with it.) I promise a range if effectiveness between good enough to contribute, but never higher than surprisingly effective yet not dominant.

The build references is the Bramble-spellhancment build.

love this stuff!

Twinking for me has never been about face rolling on op class’ but rather trying to make an unviable class a surprise contender. Don’t need to make it the best toon in the BG to enjoy, just to have it in a position that it has no place to be is an awesome feeling.

Currently working on a FireFlash machine gun MM with aimed shot removed from bars. Probably nothing new and definitely nothing impressive about an MM near the top of the charts but I don’t twink for other peoples opinions, that’s the beauty of living in your own little world.

Enjoy your Hipsters people <3 Don’t let the elitist bring you down!

With very unoptimized gear I can get 1k+ ele blasts 600+ lightning bolts and 700+ lava lashes. its pretty neat to play around with actually. I will probably continue working on it as well alongside my ranged only surv hunter.

I agree. Finding weird outside builds that are effective enough to contribute has always been my jam.

Spellhance is still fun just using Mok mh with + wep dmg and you can still use stormstrike.
Less hipster tho

In testing. Spell-hance just works the best with i34s (or better) (because of the mastery) All BC haste/crit gear with +3 agility and then SAVANT gear where applicable (neck, wrist, back, rings, 1 trinket).

Double Elemental force just does too much with flame shock and in general to be overtaken even by the bramble staff or Mok.

Enchanting for Agility is just better than Mastery because you lose too much % of Mastery when you go from World > BG.

Head is just 3 gem agility... its just better than eng goggles because of the straight up agility bonus.

With 71% Mastery World and 60% in a BG that means you lose 15% in transition (HUGE FYI) with 202 agility, 60% mastery, and +4 weapon damage/+7 attack power my Elemental Blast does 489 and crits to double that (still worth losing about 200 on that to use double Elemental Force enchants instead).

I still think my favorite hipster build is the 60% critical strike one, you can just get lucky and maul somebody with a few random attacks. Plus you maximize Elemental Force damage.

Currently using Mok with +dmg and ef offhand with windfury/flametongue, but thinking double ef felt better. 1200 stormstrikes do feel good though.

I just like the option of being able to use elemental blast from ranged if needed, especially since i've seen it hit for 800+ with little mastery.

Mok + shield for the hipster aesthetic?

Ef shield for maximum swag.

How are you getting stormstrike to 1200... i have 212 agility in a BG with Mok +4 weapon and mine is 450ish... :p and that is with a DOUBLE CRIT main hand and off hand.

EDIT yeah, even using a dense weight stone instead of wind fury on top of weapon damage I can get it to maybe 600 on a double crit. :p would love to know what you are doing for 1200.

Hit for 1k+ several times with zerker since sub ended last night, def not the norm

zerker sure, just wanted to make sure i was not missing something huge.

Its like ranged weapon only surv, its surprisingly decent.
I actually really enjoy playing my hunter as Range Survival (only with my bow). It's different and still fairly effective (probably because of the overall power of the class, let's be honest).

Biggest advantage is you dont feel like you need to take a shower after playing it.

Also, by no means is Ride the Lightning damage great or better than counterstrike, but it seems to be increased in these spellhance builds if you can in fact cast stormstrike.

The bramble staff enhancement seemed like a fun thing to do.

I've just finished my 15th character and try for a staff, I got 0 drops so far.

What loot specialization/spec where you guys using or is it irrelevant?
I've tried all 3 specs with no luck, characters where all 10 or 11 allied races.

Maybe I'm having really bad luck or I am just doing something wrong here?

Edit: 16th is the charm! See you guys in a BG some time soon
Edit2: Still no idea if it matters, but it was in enhancement spec and loot

Shouldn't matter the spec. Grats on your drop! 5 days till my bramblehancment sham hits the bg queue

4 piece Desolation Shaman Gear for the Agility Proc
Can we even get this 4 piece at 20? [Greaves of Desolation] aren't showing up on the loot table for Talon King in game

Unless I'm totally missing something?
[doublepost=1619471437,1619470444][/doublepost]Ah well... they do drop!

They don't show there but the talon king will drop them... I killed him about 10 times I think. They are in my inventory and that is where I got them. They do suck with no slots compared to Wyrmscale, but the bonus is pretty cool with the agility proc theme.

Anybody else notice this. My stormstrike SAYS it does 418 physical... but when I hit a dummy or any 19-20 mob it does 294. That is like a 30% loss.... is that just normal armor loss?
