Enhancement has been the most fun I have played out of all the classes in SL so far. You arguably get the widest range of playstyles in any given BG. It obviously has the same downside as any class in SL right now... all damage is super high and survivability without heals is low, BGs are basically a day care center for survival hunters, etc.

I don't like putting a number on usefulness, BUT the builds below are all ones that I have broken 100k damage on. While that is not really a bar, it does show they have the ability to do so if you get the right game/circumstances. You should still wrap up most games with off healing of at least 20-30k plus that was NOT on yourself. You also have a pretty tight suite of abilities to do some major peeling for healers, even if that is just slowing or dropping a counter strike totem and going full ham... do it, because that is what you are in a BG for... global support.

Note: Counterstrike totem is unfortunately the only PvP ability worth taking. It is beyond powerful and often leads to the most "LOL, WTF just happened?!" moments out of any class/spec ability in SL, period.

    ***

Haste Proc: This build goes for maximum haste using 7 procs. Recommended gear would be maximizing haste in all slots to just “do more - faster”. Haste upwards of 100% can happen regularly. Downside proc based. Recommended talent: Forceful Winds.

Hurricane enchant on both weapons, The Blade Fist, Blackout Truncheon, Enraged Dimetrodon Fin, Rezan’s Gleaming Eye, Thundering Skyfire Diamond.

    ***

Melee Proc: this build goes for getting double attacks off 3 specific items seeking to maximize Windfury procs. Recommend gear would be Haste/Mastery Focused for increased Windfury chance. Downside procs are on the low side. Recommended talent: Forceful Winds.

Elemental force on both weapons recommended for max damage output.

Flurry Axe, Ironfoe, Hand of Justice

    ***

Agility Proc: this build goes for maximizing damage output though 5 agility procs. Recommended gear would be Verse/Mastery for maximizing big hits. Downside – proc based. Recommended Talent is Elemental Blast as they can get quite big with enough agility.

Dancing Steele Enchant on both Weapons, 4 piece Desolation Shaman Gear for the Agility Proc, “Reliable Threat Assessor”/Grondo’s Eyepatch/Giantstalker’s Guile

    ***

Big Hitter: – this build goes for the biggest hits possible using a 3.60 weapon speed main hand. Would maximize Verse/Mastery for the biggest hits. Recommend Talent is Elemental Blast as they are quite large with the Headcracker/Verse/Mastery.

Mok’Morokk’s Headcracker (+weapon damage enchant), Claw of the Watcher (+attack power enchant) - This is the only build where I would used weighted stones for +weapon damage instead of windfury/flametougne for big hits.

    ***

Full Crit: this build, just tries to get your critical strike to 50%+ inside a BG. Requires +25crit rings/neck. +2 agility / +2 crit gems, Goggles with 2x Crit Cogs + Tense Unstable Diamond. Elemental force Recommended for maximum damage. Recommend Talent would be Elemental Blast, as the crits are quite nasty.

    ***

Mix and Match Random gear: Throw on any random gear and make wild boasts to everybody that you have found THE BiS build and then falsely report that you preformed precise in game calculations about all pieces interacting harmoniously with each other that have officially turned you into the Malestrom's number one stunner.

    ***

I have not accomplished this yet, but this is one I do what to try badly.

Bramble Staff: Elite Spellhancement No-Melee. +17 agility enchant. Maximize Mastery in all slots for bonkers Elemental Blast/ Lighting Bolt damage, +25 Mastery Rings, etc. Full retard.

For anyone that haven't tried it the Haste proc build is really fun and fast paced even better on a fury warrior aswell.

Well I'm probably not going all in on a build for it if ramble drops for my sham (if I have to reroll anyway then might as well go deep I guess) but even for my current build it might be worth the gcd to weapon swap when I know ill be offhealing for a bit. Idk how much more healing you'll get from it but worth a shot.

I miss my 70 enhance shammy twink with 2hand so much :( Ngl ele was much better but it was so fun to oneshot everyone with wf proc. I wish we had viable enhance with 2 hander at 20 ...

ok brb getting bramble on my shammy to try that shit out, it sounds hilarious even if bad. I also thought of trying something like that but with moks mh and an ilvl 28 shield. Just pretending to be ele and when ppl come into the team to attack me ( everyone trains the shammy) you swap to claw and just stormstrike them.

The only thing that sucks... is that you don't get primal strike... you just get nothing because storm strike requires 2 weapons just like lavalash, except thowing elemental blast.... and windfury is not based off of weapon attacks its just some random small damage.

*I THINK* that the bramble staff is the only weapon that you can get? anybody else have anything else? that is an AXE/STAFF/2 handed mace that applies having agility?

Rip bramble didnt drop, will have to make a completely new shaman just to play around with it. Honestly wouldnt you just sit in the back and use lightning bolt and ele blast? just full on ele pretending but as shammy. Maybe with a weapon swap macro for melee encounters.

I mean you would want to just stack Agility to max with the +versatiltiy BC gear and then put on +25 mastery neck/rings and just nuke shit.

The only thing I don't know is if +17 agility would be better or +4 weapon damage... enhance gets A LOT off of weapon damage.

***EDIT*** I think you would have to swap into i34 / i49 as they count as 1 weapon with a swap macro, just like Fury has to do now.

It is horrifyingly bad... I think people who use it imagine that the dwarvish language proc is the extra attack... it is not. But, if you use all 3 items as above you can proc a decent amount of extra Windfury... but I would 100000000% only use all 3 together, they are bad 2 of or 1 of.

@JadeFire man, I had a thread about what weird shit try next and you are just over here sitting on this absolute fire, meta defining spell-hancment shaman build. U been holdin out on me.

Wiffed the staff on my sham, not worried though. Jade if you are building this then ill leave it be for now, if not I will go 100% on it.

jade have you managed to pick up a vibroblade? and tried it out? I figure an armor reduction item would be sick for enh. I tried for bashgudder and rivenspike from ubrs but well... req lvl 23 :(

I have not gotten the staff yet either... probably be a wiff. I tried on my alliance shaman... wiff. It's a rough go to get it retroactively since I've spent like 2 million with various crap on my enhance already... and don't really want to make a new one. And I also have no REAL idea what the bramble staff does... it might just be nothing major... you get the slow speed, but its not really that much more stats.

I had a double vibroblade build last epac or it was the one before that I don't remember... the proc rate was 1 per minute... IF THAT... it was so bad it made me ill. And the only real time it was worth using is if you had actual comms with another melee player that would take immediate advantage of the armor debuff. If you are just relying on random people to notice the buff, they won't.

I heard stories from the elders of enhancement shamans proudly wearing two-handers, almost not losing on overall damage (this part is fuzzy) or at least compensating for that with juicy crits, and saw them asking Blizzard to allow shamans to tank (perhaps with one-hander and a shield though).

Blizzard pushed 2 one handers a lot less back then... windfury used to be actual extra weapon attacks, so when you had a massive two hander like the arcanite reaper or ragnaros you mauled people... now its just an arbitrary number based off of mastery/agility.

Am curious to see which of these you think works better in a competitive arena environment, if any.

Mok Headcracker +4 weapon damage and Claw of the watcher + attack power. In 20s Arena enhance just stumbles around CCed for 90% of the game and has a terrible survival rate, so you want your hits to be as big as possible. Elemental Blast also gives you some range as it can still crit for 800+.
