I am considering rolling a vet mage, I am going to play all specs, but as you all know, arcane is the go to. What items on horde are worth rerolling for? Xakxaks and fallen apprentice? Which would be better, the 8 int and stam or 16 vers? What other items? And stat pri is int>vers=haste>crit?

Thanks guys!

the only real note worthy cloth quest item is fallen appren afaik

its also better than xakxak cause I assume you're just going to be going full mongoloid damage. the vers is nice if you want more survivability tho (its probs better for healers in general)

don't forget to finish Stonetalon Mountain so you can buy the quartermaster gear (if you ever go ally, these wont be obtainable)

Word up my man! I will give it a shot! I loved arcane pvp in legion(first time I played a mage end game) and I kind of want that again! Time to do stonetalon all the way through for the God knows how many'th time, lol! Thanks brother!

yup if you have any other questions you can always hit my line

I'm farming foamspittle again, I am contemplating if mainhand offhand from bgs might actually be better. Trying to juggle classic and some casual vet pvp!

About vers & int. Verse is multiplying your damage, so the more int you have, the more verse adds! Exact numbers is here : each 5,34 vers on BG multiplies your damage by 1%. For cool numbers 16 vers is 3.00%. If you roll Dark Iron Dwarf or Mag'Har Orc (or panda with their food) and you'll buff your spellpower to 300+, 16 vers will add 3% of 300 that's 9 addictional int instead of 8 int on fallen aprentice. To be precise 16 vers ~ 8int at 266 spellpower.
--------------------------------------------------------------
MH+OH gives you 6 extra int with enchant, but 12 secondaries instead of 16. If you've got like 270 spellpower then 6 int ~ 12 vers, so MH+OH of the quickblade/aurora with at least 6 summary verse (for ex. MH 2vers 4 crit & OH 4 vers 2 haste) would be better than foamspittle.

Arcane at 20's isn't very exciting due to only spamming arcane missiles, but I guess you can have the extra brainpower to find smart target switches and people to polymorph.

And @Ashlander, thanks for the math! I now looking foward to have some different weapon combo to use & mog.

Fuck off with the mages please
Lol!

a good bg rare mh/oh will be better for mongo arcane dps
if you're doing skirms and shit it might be more worth it to get foam

just farm foam in between bg queues and roll with whichever comes up first.

I do have a stam set that gets me 2.45k in bg :) and a lot of swiftness pots xD

I never even ran a BG on my mage...I got so many twinks that I literally never even played, it isnt even funny lmao

I think 222 is fairly good, given that I'm not pushing for a spellpower set.
Personally, I think gearing vets the way my mage is, is the superior way to gear them. Whats the difference between tooltips on my 287 spellpower mage vs. a 230ish? Like 15-20 damage? It isnt worth losing 5-600 health and 15% haste over

u need the new ilvl 31 bg crate drops at least

1400 health ew. Glasscannon is so impractical it isnt even funny.

yea probably in arena

but bg's go with the glass cannon, use the heal on the heirloom neck and it makes up for the stam/vers loss, just hang in the back and blast away and stand near a heal, enemies drop so fast its like the extra stam/vers is a waste, if u want a more durable arcane might as well just roll a boomkin.

(will return nov 25: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/fenris/meláquendi , nothing too special but gets the job done)
