World Drop Farming Compendium (ilvl 28 BoEs)

So having farmed most of the gear my priest and hunter needs i am now looking in to farnong that last piece my priest needs (aurora offhand with socket and speed - FML).
I have never farmed for weapons before and I am wondering which spot would be best to farm at with my setup.
I have 3 lvl 22 warriors that I also use for mop farming. And then I can bring my lvl 20 priest for pulling. With that setup, what spot do you guys think, would suit me best? Or do I really need to roll lvl 22 hunters for this Shit as well?

The Naga & Gilblin at Atal'Gral are a personal favorite of mine.
I've literally never looted anything but weapons there.

The Naga snare constantly & are a real pain in the arse. One full lap around the area & everything will have respawned. I wish you good fortune in your farms to come.

Why exactly are a level 24-25 alt needed to farm ilvl 28s? I’m a little confused on this.

Because lvl 20 mobs drop ilvl 22 req lvl 14 uncommon armor, ilvl 24 req lvl 17 uncommon weapons, ilvl 25 req lvl 18 rare armor, ilvl 27 req lvl 20 rare weapons, ilvl 28 req lvl 20 epic armor and ilvl 29 req lvl 22 epic weapons. So if youre shooting for greens because they drop in greater quantities you need to farm lvl 24-25 mobs and since zones scale you need a lvl 24-25 for that. Or you can farm 20 and wear ilvl 22 req lvl 14 gear.

And can I just make that toon on my main subbed account and lock xp and then farm with it?
Which class is best utilized for farming?

also, if you are trying to farm blues would that mean you’d farm on a lvl 23?

24 mobs has slightly less hp.
25 gets an extra talent.
Yes. Whilst your vet acc is subbed u can have 1 on both and use both for more loot.
Hunter and mage in grp. Guardian druid or fury warr for solo.

Were the pigs in Drustvar nerfed? I got one BoE after an hour of farming... I used to practically fill my bags in that amount of time.

2 epics 1 run Strath

I got Arden custodian and Blackskull shield on 1 run in Strath testing Thorium spike on my block build Prot Pally. Not sure what the odds of that are and shame they are 21 req. However I'm curious as I was questing in Eastern plague lands so I had the "LUCKY" expedition buff. Now inside Strath the Icon for the buff goes away but I wonder if it's still active? Possible to grab the buff and farm in there for added loot chance?

To be clear I could do Strath on a level 17 Prot Pal? Is that what ppl are doing or will character level not adjust the mob level in there?

I threw it up on AH for cheap, not sure if it will sell but saw someone had a lvl 20 Blackskull for 700k.

If its possible for mobs that low to drop it, its likely that its not and req lvl 21 is as low as it goes. But thats how the epics that are confirmed to drop work yes.

You could do Strat on a 17/18 Pala but some of the mobs there scale to 19/20/21 - so if you loot those they will drop level 21 epic weapons. You're better off farming a 15+ classic dungeon like ZF if you specifically want a shield to scale 18/i27. That said, they are definitely not worth 700k. You can still pick them up around 100k~ on RC.

Yea was interested in Trophy find epics like Skullflame (pretty much what everyone wants) So doing ZF I'd need to be a 17 Pally? Just getting this 20 going so didn't know if there were some cool spots to hunt for super rares on him or I need to make a new guy at 17 was trying to read all of this thread.

Just wanted to mention was testing the build and got 2 Epics which was kinda nice to see and about the buff potentially effecting it.

I'm confused did Fallhaven pigs drops change? I'm getting ilvl 22 with req 14 Greens armor and ilvl24 req 17 weapons on my 20.
