so ive been farming the call of the scarab event a little, specifically the colossus bosses, and i would like some more people trying this, seems interesting.

look at the insane loot table on the classic versions. the comments describe multiple boe drops per kill, multiple epics+rares

they spawn every 15 mins from the last death on the current phase. they spawn clockwise order on the map. a daily world quest is attached to each boss. theres no loot lockouts. they scale. they cast a massive knockback every 40 seconds or so, and auto attack very hard, and have alot of health. they can be easily killed by a group of twinks with a heal. high potential to spam farm this with realm hopping.

the new versions are still dropping lots of blues, gotten mutltiple weapon and armor drops on 20 and 17 and have seen other 20s loot blues. drops all seem to be "high level" blues.

one kill, i looted 3 blues, as a 17

i would like to see as many people as possible kill these colossus, in aim of looting any epic item

the most optimal level would be 18, to recieve level 18 i28 epic armor, and level 18 ilvl 27 epic weapons

if you want to farm this with me on NA, let me know.. looking for lvl 17/18 twinks who can do high dps/healing
 
Any info about BFA epic boes do they work similar to legion boes where lvl 20 loots lvl 20 epic boes? Anyone know if Legion boe epics can be looted through skinning? I know epic boes can be skinned through bfa mobs . Im wanting to kill or skin pterrodax skyrender for Aguas' Band of Augury or kill convoy defenders for it in zuldazar. I know all the wowhead drop rates are dead wrong about pretty much every single boe epic I have ever seen but I'd like to try it anyway.

From my understanding level 45 minimum is required to proc epics on BfA. Never tried the skinning method you described though.
 
Hello, clueless here. I have my 25 warr farming the pigs in drustvar, but it's only dropping ilvl29 items. Am I SOL and have to level another toon to 24 IOT farm ilvl 28 greens? Thx in advance I have a smooth brain.

you got weapons. they drop at a higher ilvl. youll still get ilvl 28 armor.

also, pigs arent great. dont farm there.

AFAIK it is still the spot. I dream of a different one though, as I fucking hate farming them. Lemme know if something else becomes viable.

@dANNN I am drooling over those patterns... if only there were some widget we could use while crafting to make items the perfect level for twinks. Thanks for the in-depth info.

For my part, the only epic gear I've ever looted on a twink was from The Mechnar, & the only pattern I've seen came form the Botanica.

Patterns seem to be the most common epics. I am now up to 1711 total TBC dungeon runs: #1711 - 1483 Sethekk runs - 1140 Level 18 Looters runs. A few more pieces but a weapon still hasn't been seen:

I have been slacking the last few weeks with farming but I'm certain its just a matter of time & effort...
