Im actually shocked more people arent playing boomy. It's strong and honestly looks way more fun than it was in BFA, what with having roots, triple surge, and like half a dispel... seems really, really, neat this xpac. I really wish we saw more people play it.

i haven't played SL 20s yet but in the past xpacs boomy 19s/20s was among the top dps specs

it was not as common as other top dps specs as it required more effort, more skill, more patience to perform at a high level

A quick question since you say you are flexing BM - what do you think is the strongest spec for hunter in a hunter vs hunter matchup? Obviously, skill matters, but let's assume equal skill levels. I think it might be BM (pet damages from LoS and while you are controlled) - but what do you think?

Imo, it's kinda of a any given sunday so to say in the hunter 1v1. But assuming everything is equal I would actually lean towards surv with the mend bandage. I'm digging BM because it's 100% mobile with their abilities and has the best sustaining dmg among the others. MM spec is of course your heavy hitter at the cost of standing still and casting. Which as a Nelf you can meld and feign death the cast. This works extremely well against other caster classes as well. Surv is your melee spec, has great overall dmg, great ability to spread stings (or pad the dmg meter some would say). A good gap closer if spec'd into it and a extra heal other specs don't get.

Thanks. Yeah, having to stand still is what I dislike a lot about mm. I am going to try other specs for sure, big crits are cool, but well, that's absolutely not all there is. I looked into mending bandage and since it stops on damage, I thought it is mostly a no-op vs bm in particular (because your pet will attack for sure), but I might be missing something and I get that this might be close in general.
