We all know Hunters are OP... are they the best duelers though?

It's about the best class and spec 1v1. The short answer is that hunters are not the best 1v1. The hard part comes from deciding which is best. Pretty sure you can still leave arenas. If I did though, we could consider that a loss by default.

Who is gonna film this epic battle?

If we can set it up, sure. I don't have my paid account anymore, it was only active for that month, which has passed. Shouldn't be too difficult to make a character on Dreadmaul though and do it from there.

I need 2 p2ps to help me with this. One to make a toon on dreadmaul and invite kale, and then RealID invite the second p2p on my server. I challenge the leader of Kale's group to a wargame and only kale and I will enter. Unless someone wants to fraps it. My computer wouldn't handle it well.

On checking out arena it seems I can't use my buffs so I won't have a big enough health buffer to avoid being killed on stunlock. With that in mind, it completely invalidates my original point about ret's superiority. In a 1v1 with paladins of such small health pools it's the first exo spammer to stun the other without trinket. Literally nothing else matters.

In world PvP and BGs, this would never happen because ret has a big enough health pool, as long as they keep it topped up, that you can't be stun and exo spammed to death. Arena isn't the place to to prove my point on this. Same gear, same buffs, ret is superior. Prot runs OOM and ret does not. When both paladins have tiny health pools then it's the first to stun and exo spam with the other's trinket on CD.

I stand by my original points, but upon seeing the kind of health pools you're playing with and against, I can understand why the reduced HoJ CD would seem superior. My experience of the two specs obviously differs greatly to yours.

DODGE. /Flap. If I wanted to, I could do every BG with fort, kings, might, whiskey, oil, stam scroll, and wisdom pots and would beat you in a 1v1. Neither of us being buffed is more fair anyways. I knew you would ***** out.

It's simple logic. If I don't have the healthpool to survive stunlock. I don't survive. This thread was about the superior spec that you turned into an e-peen contest for some reason.

Taking a discussion about spec, which assumes equal skill, and making it personal is just silly. As is stacking the deck by making it in arena. I've already stated previously my lack of interest in arena. This thread was about 1v1, which clearly means no arena. Prof bonuses from eng/mine/herb/skin all work in arena, but alc, the best F2P prof, do not. As for all the buffs you mentioned, most of those aren't really F2P, which would kind of defeat the prupose of the 1v1 debate.

No crutching. I'm happy for prot to use the same buffs. At that point it becomes about which spec is superior and not who can exo spam the other on stunlock without a trinket. BTW, every buff I use is 100% available to F2P and soloable. I'm surprised more people don't use them, but then most people are too lazy. I must admit, even I am too lazy to constantly farm the crystal shards for their minor buffs.

stacking the deck by making it in arena.

How is the 1v1 taking place in an arena without outside buffs stacking the deck?

Edit: How is neither person having buffs any different from both having the same buffs? The results are still going to be the same.

I thought I already explained that. Arena is not 1v1. I also already stated why ret is superior, because as long as you don't let your health dip below the stun and exo spam point, ret will win. If you don't have the health to keep attacking and have to constantly heal then ret would also run out of mana and I have no direct personal experience of that, so I couldn't really comment. However, since other people have played with and against ret with 1k or slightly above HP then it's incredibly easy to beat them. Ret is only viable 1v1 if it has enough health to avoid dying while stunned. I also explained all of this long before you people tried to make this about skill or me personally.

Dude, quit beating around the bush. While what you're saying about the stun and exo spam is true, prot has the obvious advantage in that scenario. 10s of HoJ, 15% more HP and a silence are all I need to beat you. If I catch you at 900hp with no trinket, you're dead. I can lock you out for 9 seconds, which is enough time for me to do over 1k damage. If I had equivalent buffs as you would I would be over 2.1k health and 1k mana. I wouldn't oom, and wouldn't let you get me under 1k, EVER. You already know this though, and when push came to shove, you made excuses to dodge the fight. 400 extra health won't save you from a 9 second lock out. You clearly underestimate the DPS potential of prot, and overestimate your own DPS. Look man, I don't need to beat you in a wargame.... By refusing to step up to a challenge, you've already lost. GG.

Also, even if I won, it would not prove ret's superiority. It would simply prove mine. The same in reverse is also true.

You're missing the point. In a fight that lasts longer than two minutes, ret doesn't run OOM because prot spends the entire fight healing themselves. Eventually they run OOM. I have dueled them with much more than 1k mana with paid account buffs and that's always what happens. Your only experience of rets is 1k-1.3k junk which is incredibly easy to get under the stun and exo spam point. It's much more difficult, read impossible, when ret has 1.8k.

Seriously, discussion over. This is not about you and me. You don't agree with me? Fine. I have literally nothing more to add to this topic. Anything else I could say on the ret vs prot debate would be repeating what I have already stated.

Your "humble" opinion on the matter has degenerated into some ridiculous personal e-peen bullshit that I have no interest in participating in. Feel free to continue it without me.
