gonna be tough since you leveld to 42 not just lvl 40 from what i've heard. You intentionally kept leveling. Heard someone was told no because of the intentional leveling further. Wish ya luck though!

Here is the end result posted as "resolved" of a multithread I had going with various GM's over the last week:
"This is Game Master *****, I understand you are looking to have your character reversed and fully understand the continued contact on this as you've seen others have similar situations happen that worked out for them. So it's only reasonable that one would continue to try. I'm going to be perfectly up front and honest with you about this, but this request isn't something we would be able to assist with. Now, I'd like to go over a bit why the resolution remains the same, and why you might not be getting that rare exception that you have found. It's true, in the past we have assisted with situations of de-leveling a character but this isn't a case of just one person deciding that we are going to do this. Something like this requires approval from those working on the development team because in doing so can have a chance of breaking your character. It's the primary reason it's not a normal service we offer. I do not have access to those characters information to explain why they got an exception to get this done so I'm not able to speak on their behalf. I can, however, go over an example as to why we might step in and help with this. Every so often when a player submits a ticket we need to take control of their character to help verify things happening in-game. Should a situation come up where we accidentally cause the level from this end, that's absolutely something we will seek out an approval for. Looking over your character Drizo, we can see when this character turned level 40 as there are achievements that come with leveling to 40. In this case we see Drizo earning level 40 back on 2013/12/27. As a result, too much time has passed for us to be able to review the logs here to see exactly what happened that may have caused the level. Keep in mind that the game has changed to a point where it's completely different from where it was back in the day when you originally did this transfer. The data is not the same, this is the major factor as to why the answer will remain a no because if we were to roll your character back it would likely break your toon in a way that would cause it to be unplayable and it's for that reason it's not a service we provide. So while I understand and appreciate your passion for this character and it being a level 39, I'm sorry to say this is not something we will be assisting you with. Despite the news on this I do hope you have a good day and happy Holidays."
I feel like I am gathering enough information to devise a more thoroughly crafted post in the hopes of fishing for a sympathetic GM. Guess only time will tell.

I told him I was about to cry (not a lie) and that it was a 6+ yr old twink (also not a lie) that i regretted leveling. idk man deff got lucky that time, esp given the time period.

yes, i was still online after having leveled to 43. made it that far then the ragrets hit. was worth tho, GM deleveled and ended up leaving me with 100% mount at 39.

its just rng for the gm you get, ive definetely had more success with things like this if i paint a sympathetic narrative combined with humor and manners.

am afraid I have some bad news in that respect, we can help with this now a days but only if contacted within72hours since the level was gained. I see that ****** was last played back in march.
Before we can de-level we need to make sure nothing else was gained, our logs do not go that far back so since I cant verify if anything else was gained it cant be de-leveled
We need to check more than items, its also well passed the 72 hour window so there is no way to get the level removed, I am afraid ***** is stuck at level 30.
