Tier List @ LvL 39 Classic

As the headline says ... does anyone have an idea for a leaderboard?
I'm thinking about building a WL or Mage. The only information I found on rankedboost.com. Somehow very undifferentiated.

I would be happy about factual input.

BB.

I'm no expect but this looks very inaccurate. Pretty hard to determine what falls where when you only use 3 tiers as well...Everything was just thrown around

... thx for answer @jwl. Yes the list is not very good, especially since it was simply put on the Internet without any justification.
The question remains, is it worth the effort to build a WL or Mage in this bracket and in which spec?

Warrior definitely not below average, my pod warrior was one of my favorite characters. Wl and mage both do pretty good at 39, it's a pretty balanced bracket almost anything can do good.

People may not like three tier lists, but imo that's how close the bracket is. There's really no rubbish tier. A bit soft since it's been so long but here's my hot take.

Godly - Priest, Mage, Rogue
Tops - Hunter, Paladin, Warlock, Shaman
Mids - Druid, Warrior

Also this is for solo/duo play.

Best: Warlock, Paladin(Holy), Druid(Balance or Resto), Rogue, Hunter
Good: Druid(feral), Warrior(arms), Mage, Shaman(Ele or Resto), Priest(Healer or Shadow)
Moderate: Shaman(PODHANCE), Warrior(Non-Arms), Paladin(Ret)
Mehh: Meme stuff like Melee hunter, Rek pally, DW Fury,

Big things are possible HP pool/sustain without gimping damage, CC capabilities, and mobility.

There is no way druids are "best"

Same with shaman. Do people think shamans only offer windfury POD procs or something?

Rank 1 earth shock silences
Rank 1 frost shock slows
Rank 2 purge dispels
Remove curse/poison
Off heals
Slow totems...

Their utility is great. They aren't just a gimmick 1-shot class. Shamans offer a lot.

All good points, imo the strongest argument is that Hunter's should be in God tier, from a BG perspective they are massive. Alot of the separation for me comes down to how well a class deals with stuns. Shaman don't handle them as well as RMP, but their great utility keeps them ahead of the pack for sure.

This is so cringe it hurts my eyes so I had to log in and post. 200 IQ kids trying to theorycraft 2-3 button gameplay

So far, only Outofspace has a remotely decent tier

Just bind viper sting and as long as there are no druids/shamans hunters are god class

viper sting gods

also fire mage is god too and so are all healing mongoloid classes

Don't forget that shaman, druid, and hunter are the only classes with a constant movement speed increase! Let's not forget how versatile that is. I played a 39 lock and 39 warrior(POD) in vanilla and bc. I remember hunters, rogues, and priests being very strong, lock was a shit show with powerful dots. Looking back at it now pod on a warrior without ms was totally a waste

Edit* Somehow replied to the wrong person. Second time i have had problems on this forum with quotes. : /

Balance damage is extremely high and both Resto/balance where great for FCing and could both competently heal.

I wouldn't call a PoD warrior a waste! Here's some old footage of the fun to be had! All PoD wielding toons are generally silly and for the lols.

Yeah, it's definitely fun! My perspective on it now was I would have rather had pod on a shaman back in the day, versus the warrior I put it on. He had one with crusader and one with savagery and then switched to 35 agi. I was 17 and a noob, lol.

this is not very true. All of the balance talents only scale with base damage and insect swarm is learned at every 10th level, so at level 39 you'll have the lvl 30 insect swarm. From a BG PoV balance druids has really nothing to offer since they lack burst (no you won't be able to spam starfire in a bg), have mana issues and lack meaningful CC (similar to all druid specs). With that being said they are very good in 1v1 wpvp and I'm sure could be enjoyed in a less competitive BG setting but they are bottom tier spec for BGs.

Meh I'd like to add some input:

I like to look at class lists from a perspective of total points disadvantaged vs X class. Rather than looking at strong suits; I like to look at weaknesses.

That being said Rogue is most definitely god tier and can effectively 1v1 any class at 39 in a capable players hands. Also, primarily speaking from a rogue player perspective, I think no matter what spec a mage is they are equally viable be it fire or frost. They just have different weaknesses vs different opponents (rogue vs frost mage is harder than rogue vs fire, fire probably has more impact from a dps and bg perspective and frost better 1v1, etc.)

Now getting to holy paladins. Yes this class is troll af and super effective with a partner but by god does it suck when you pug. It's extreme advantage in one setting is offset by its extreme disadvantage in the other. I'd put it on par with disc priests imo, they have the least amount of weaknesses for any healing class at 39 (dwarf and troll esp.)

There are, imo only 3 godlike classes at 39 who have near zero disadvantages and that's FC druid, rogue, and disc priest (not on tier with the other 2 but top from a healer perspective).
