EU+US Thoughts on twinking at 80?

I have tried several brackets (20s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 110, 119) I find 80s to be the most fun in terms on balance and build choice.

What do I mean when I say balance? A couple of things. First of all, every spec is viable, you do not have to roll a FotM spec to make a difference inside battlegrounds. Also, the power difference between levelers and twinks, while noticeable, is not really that big of a gap, so unless you are running a premade, its never a faceroll to victory. Smart levelers are still able to shutdown your plays if they CC/focus you accordingly. However, I do acknowledge that last part might be a turn off for people who only know how to play Survival from Legion.

Regarding build choice, this is the bracket with the most options when it comes to gear, more so than 60s. Thanks to the changes to scaling, the difference in power between expansions is reduced to the point of irrelevant. This means that you are able to choose gear from three expansions (TBC, WotLK, Cataclysm), so you are able to greatly customize your build to suit your playstyle. For example, my mage has been geared for maximum Int/SP and haste procs, even with a low base haste most of my procs line up in combat for a near constant +30% haste or +100% (without counting Time Warp) when procs overlap. Check the mage on my signature to get an idea of what gear from across three expansions looks like.

The one downside is that the Alliance dominates the bracket for the most part, but that might be a good thing depending on your preference. Personally, I have the most fun when I either solo queue or play with just one or two of friends instead of a full premade.

which bracket has the most disparity between levelers and twinks? I'm a scum human and I want you to enable me! <3

I top damage every bg, and I’ve been able to 1v3 levelers. Honestly I’ve been having the most in this bracket and I play in 70’s and 90s
Can confirm 1v3 are possible.

Also, yes. 89s are the strongest for ipvp.

Just twink at 80. The bracket isnt flooded with obnoxious players, or overpowered classes.

I killed my 79 arcane mage yesterday. I am interested in legendary staff - double Arcane Blast proc may be fun.
Wanna try twink in every bracket, but I can spend little time on WoW, so I had to sacrifice one of my 79s :(

Sadly the legendary staff only procs on dots so wont get those double arcane blasts off. :/

Only procs on damage over time.

I agree with all the above. As a twink at 80-89 you will find that it's a much fairer balance between levellers and twinks.
The build option is huge as well as the class/spec viability options.

I feel like this is the point where you have enough pvp talents, abilities, hp pool, stats and normal talents to balance pvp. No class shines particularly (maybe disc) and none can do poorly in the right hands.

Old video, no longer works like this. RIP my elemental shaman.

Has anyone tried to get the staff on a mage lately? I have a friend who tried all Legion/BFA and was getting on shot by the dragon in the nexus.

Read this, it should sum things up. https://xpoff.com/threads/dragonswrath-tarecgosas-end-is-impossible-now.
It was crazy hard then, even with the overpowered consumables. I'd imagine it is much harder now and that is saying something because this was the hardest quest I've ever done.

Thanks for the link :)
I will be trying this on an 85 disc soon, I'll let you know if its possible I guess. As for non-healer, tested on my friends mages, its not possible.
