on another note will you have a spectator in games running around inspecting people? I doubt that everyone will obey the rules.

On the topic of listening in on team's Discord, would be cool if you guys could somehow light up the character's healthbar or something to show who's talking similar to how it's done in league. just a thought :)

Hey HB. Thanks for the constructive feedback, I don't believe you got a reply but there's been a lot of posts from people (few I deem worthy of replies) but you, always.

I believe the thought behind the 3 class limit on those two was to avoid limiting teams from trying out certain comps. If you want to try and run a more melee heavy cleave with WW/BM but also want to throw in a MW in the mix, there's no reason why you shouldn't be allowed to. Same goes with interesting tactics perhaps involving double restoration druid or guardian boomy + FCer. It's not a major change, but it might spark a slightly different meta, or people trying out new things in the upcoming exhibition/practice matches.

Discord unlike many other applications would allow us to control the flow of people in the tournament - Easily get a hold of people we need to get a hold of while controlling the masses. It would be easier to talk to people, as they're in their Team Lobby - and it would give us the opportunity to give the audience some of that contagious hype and adrenalin that the voice communication will most likely be flowing with during certain moments of a match.

The Discord App is available in the Browser (Granted, there's an issue with people being muted if they stop talking for a pro-longed period of time), and as an App. It would be less than optimal if people participating in the tournament didn't download the app, for their own sake. Anyone that can run any other communication software (Curse, Teamspeak, Skype, Ventrilo etc) should be able to run Discord as it is very light weight. Everyone is of course free to remove it after the tournament.

We realize that a lot of people have potty mouths, but as long as your stream isn't centralized around racism and profanity then it's not a real concern, so if one word should slip, everyone will be okay. Do realize this isn't a new concept, it has been done by various E-sports events already, and is a very beloved feature for most viewers. Of course anyone abusing the fact that they're on livestream for such purpose could end up receiving warnings for deliberately trying to sabotage things - but I believe (and hope) that it's more in their interest to ensure their teams victory and their goal of becoming TC 2016 champions! :)

Thanks for your input! Hope to hear from you again.
I think my biggest concern is the shift in meta 2 months before the tournament that until now I don't think the majority were expecting. I like the idea behind why you guys implemented it to open up some more comps, but what I don't think we all realize if we open this set of rules is that we enable teams to run 3 of the best class in the game (druid) and have an extra of two of the top two classes in terms of mobility (druid/monk). By opening this set of rules, we actually funnel ourselves to which comps people can run. There would be no reason to not run 3 druids, and the majority of teams would run 3 monks. Especially coming after the double boomkin ban just a month prior to this, we will see similar results if we open up teams to play 3 druids/3 monks. They are just better than the other classes at 19 in terms of map control (Hunter falls in between druid and monk in terms of mobility) and teams that choose not to run an extra druid will be at an extreme disadvantage, and it seems silly to leave monk at 3 if every other class in the game is limited to 2 of a class. That extra druid slot on alot of teams would be taking up a 4th healer slot or a 6th dps slot, which more often than not, the last slot a team chooses to fill out their 10 man composition often is the "stamp" to their playstyle. That area of team individuality and creativity will be taken away because every team will fill this slot with a druid.

Druid is 100% too strong to allow 3, it is by far the best class at 19. I understand the idea behind monk as there are 3 viable specs that people may want to run, but to keep the integrity of all the other classes it should be limited to 2 to keep things even across the board.

As for the discord idea, from a viewership standpoint sounds awesome. To throw this on every team participating in the event I think is a bit unreasonable in terms of team discussions/strategies/shit talk etc, EVEN THOUGH THE HYPE WOULD BE SICK, so i get it... Could we maybe find a balance where audio clips could come out after the games were played that day of games were played? I know I will be sitting their watching every game trying to get an advantage on teams, if something slips about their playstyle in the middle of the game im taking that for keeps, and everyone else is hungry as well so im sure this would be mutual standpoint of all teams participating.

But i totally agree for communication reasons and to keep the event moving I really like the idea of discord, I just think for team/tournament integrity will be lowered if unedited clips of teams audio comes out on the live stream.

Something similar to League of Legends when they show clips from the last matches or games from the day before where teams have a hype moment in their call where everyone is pumped and banging out is fun for everyone to hear after the games are set in stone, I just feel unedited/unexpected audio material is going to leak dirty laundry that people don't want to share to the public, whether it be mongoloid screaming in the games or team strategies that come out.

TLDR: 3 Druid/3 Monk needs to be gone 100%, by opening up those classes for teams to play, we limit the amount of comps teams will run due to Druid being a for sure pickup on every team, monk being a strong choice. I like the idea of discord for a smooth tournament and communication, we lose tournament integrity with live audio clips. Edited audio clips in short videos I think is a reasonable middle ground.

People post on here like we didn't talk and discuss in extreme depth and have clashing opinions and did a vote between seven people on all of these issues that are being raised.

What is posted is what was decided on by a majority vote and if people don't like that then well, how can i say this lighty...

Don't compete.

ok so 5ap > 13sp kappa4head
this is so brainless

how did the 3 druid idea come up? you banned 2 boomkins ~1 month ago and now this?
and those 7 ppl are bs dan havent heard about 3 druids 3 monks until he read this post just to mention one :p
Starter or SR has no representative either

You have to understand that this isn't a professional production with a 100 mil budget like league of legends tournaments. This is a one man army, trying to pull off the best possible experience for people to remember the Twink Cup 2016 by. I've been doing so much work in regards to fixing the addon, fixing OBS (The program used for streaming) and fixing other things related to broadcasting simply to have the features we have now. What people don't seem to understand is the effort put in it (100+ hours in the last 2 weeks) by someone who's not even actively part of the community. The feature's we have aren't up for modification, because we're simply not equipped or staffed to do so. It's a question of bringing the best possible content in the most optimal and in some cases in plausible way.

There's not going to be any issues in regards to "slipping" tactics that everyone is concerned about. From my understanding the stream will be on a 3 minute delay as to avoid possible rogue positions and what not. On top of that, I don't believe any team (as mentioned before) should be discussing imperative information regarding special tactics, in the middle of the gulch/fight. And even if small things were to slip, with a 3 minute delay - the damage would at most be minimal.

I'm sure any behavior that people deem acceptable to say to team mates, they'd be fine sharing with the public. If not, maybe people should change how they act :)

They try to call this professional but I don't see how this wouldn't happen in a real tourney.
Eg. Imagine in Csgo playing a tourney where NA teams AKs do 20 more damage per bullet than the EU teams AKs, how would this display the best team and upload competitive integrity?

A lot of childish whining going on here when I know y'all are capable of categorizing your thoughts and opinions into a much more constructive manner.

Few things I've noted and will hit on that have been touched on before by others or haven't, for your consideration.

Toys, any items in bags or anything other than Healthstones and Runecloth Bandages are BANNED.
You're probably unintentionally banning Battle Standards here.

Anyone can play any character on any account, as long as they are signed up on your roster. When you sign players up to your roster you are signing the player up and not just the character.
Account sharing is violating the ToS, and to broadcast that you have X player playing on Y player's account, that's just asking for trouble. I know of at least one player's BM that is constantly used by a different player in one of the major teams as it is. Sign up the characters imo.

No software violating Blizzard’s ToS is permitted.
This includes Razer Synapse for those reliant on jump macros  Hope *some FCs* don't go breaking some rules.

And finally, and it's been complained about before, but I'm not quite sure your criteria for banning GF'd enchants or not makes sense. Animist's(according to Wowhead's scaler at least, no idea about Devm's screenshot but it shows as usable yet requiring level 60 written on the item and not red...) is a 5SP and 2stam difference compared to Sapphire Spellthread, and is banned. 13SP is a 10SP difference, and is currently allowed. This is incongruous, and should be addressed(yes I know you reposted "it might change in the future" but you haven't given a solid commitment. It should be a no-brainer to realize that's wrong, and change your OP.)

Take care of that, and maybe amend your "allowed" head enchants(your reasoning given was about LFH) to be only specifically ABOUT LFH if you're going to ban other people's head enchants. Which... when you get down to it is kind of questionable too. In the case of, say, the warrior class, and Boost's earlier post, that head enchant is the only thing that sets his gear apart from standard warriors. It's GF'd and he earned it. Why is it banned when Inferno Robes or Jutebraids which give similar grandfathered bonuses allowed? Even Ferocity on Green Tinted Goggles, as posted earlier, is 8stam/5AP/5Crit. The Heirloom helm is 9stam/6AP/8Haste. ???

Just asking for a little more consistency in this case, it seems some more deliberation is required.
