I mean yeah, the 100% mount speed is def. gonna see a ban in actual games if it doesn't get fixed rather quickly, but still a nice pick-up regardless. Northrend engi saw a ban for the same reasons (outside of being ridiculously powerful as well).
By ban I of course mean community consensus on simply not using it.
Hopefully Blizzard just fixes it straight up fast enough.

Is there a way to not use it if you have it? Like a mount that *only* works at 60% speed? That was my concern, that you'd level a twink to 42ish, learn epic riding and then... not be able to play that toon in competitive games because of agree'd upon mount speed rules.

.But to address the rest, yes you'd have to ban mounts altogether probably. Could see how the games are with the Heirloom mount.

The other split in the bracket will be old 19s trying to tell old 29s and 39s players that they have to play without mounts

I mean all in all, 100% mount speed vs 60% is a huge deal. I just don't know if it's something Blizzard will let fly or not. I can see it be fixed, but I can also see it be Northrend Engineering 2.0, where those who have it will be miles ahead. Positional advantages and travel mechanics simply matters too much.

I was more just making a snide joke but yes. This mount issue may kill the bracket if folks arent open to the possibility that it wont be fixed and open to being flexible.
I bet someone (irlsteven?) $20 bucks that theyd have it fixed by christmas and I stand by that. Though the "indefinite delay" has me sweating a bit now lol.

People be overreacting about 100% its only an issue in ab/eots which 90% of twinks hate (i love ab) they only want to play wsg. lets pretend for 1 second that blizz did care, wtf are they gonna even do? I've thought about possible fixes for it and honestly I think they have put them self in a weird spot with no real way of fixing it without reworking the mount system all together which they aren't gonna do because a few 17-19s have 100%

I just made an interesting discovery. I was on one of my 120's the other day doing party sync BGs in the 20's bracket. I looked at my mount speed, thinking it would be 100% because I'm a 120, but it was only 60% like everyone else. I think the answer to this perceived problem already exists. Anyone who has learned a higher mount speed will AUTOMATICALLY be downscaled to fit the bracket they are playing in. I think the 100% GF'd mount speed will only matter in the open world.

[doublepost=1602177827,1602177468][/doublepost]to elaborate party sync is scaling you down to a lower lvl removing things you shouldn't have at that lvl like spells, talents, and mount speed. a 19 with 100% mount speed wont be affected by this type of scaling. an example to support my theory, when a 19 paladin dings 20 in a bg he is able to use his mount hence the brackets aren't the thing causing the scaling of mount speed its the partysync

The mount speed will matter in WSG also.
People who aren't braindead will know when mounting up is the right call, and trust me, it's bigger than you think.
Think re-grouping mid (core classes getting there 40% faster), think coming to aid of FC etc. etc.
The opportunities of a faster mount means a lot. You will be able to dance and mount kite perfectly compared to those that are 40% slower. Once you're mounted on escort etc. you will ALWAYS start any fight in the best possible position. Even rogues will have to massively contemplate the mount speed for saps in terms of mounted escorts and EFC positioning etc. etc. There are a lot of factors going into it.
