Tence's SL Hpally guide or "oh god not another xpac where he thinks hes a resto shaman"

@tence do you find the +mana to chest worth it at all? Does it actually net you more mana per sec? (mana regen % * your total mana pool)

I prefer it for matches where I know there will be a longer single fight (eots mid clash, ab lm/bs clash, etc). It equals about 200 something extra mana, which is at least 3-4 extra spells.

If you find yourself going oom a lot in clashes before it's a good time to drink and you already used your mana regen head, I would absolutely consider it. It's just one of those decisions that's map/team dependent imo.

About the mana regen I never checked with deja on but I can later. I'd imagine the amount would be basically nothing though.

because i don't agree with that list?

also, i am starting to think that 2 piece https://www.wowhead.com/item=27528/gauntlets-of-desolation is just a horrible idea, no vers, no speed, no leech.

Sir why would you ever want leach as a healer?

Fair enough, what dose your stat priority look like?

This is just my opinion of course, thought I should explain my stat weight choices.

1. Intellect provides the best increase to healing output and dose not suffer from the percentage loss secondaries do for syncing to 29.
2. Haste is essential for getting your heals off in time, in a burst bracket it can be the deciding factor for keeping someone alive or not. It also reduces HS cd and GCD. Around 27.5ish% @20 is where you reach the 1.2 cast time on FoL @29. It may not sound like much but it’s actually huge and you definitely can tell the difference.
3. Versatility once you reach the haste “breakpoint” is the next best healing output increase for ranged heals, the bonus is it provides a damage taken decrease however this is not the main reason for its value.
4. Mastery is the next best healing output but is generally only for self heals. Normally you will find you are the highest percentage of your healing done as you will be targeted. Having said that you should try to be as far away from interrupts and stuns from the enemy as possible, the benefit is sometimes this is just not the case and close team mates will receive the bonus to healing.
5. Critical Strike I have found generally only increases my over healing and is more for damage dealing than anything else. I know some healers love to dps (why they don’t roll a dps spec tho idfk) I could see this being a higher priority for that style but for pure healers it’s meh.
6. Stamina is only needed to survive a stun when trinket and bubble is on cd, your gear stamina should provide more than enough for this purpose as it scales to a decent amount @29. Stacking stamina is only going to make you a mana sponge, you will heal less on others and mostly be forced to keep beacon on yourself to top up.
7. Armor is ok for reducing physical damage obviously useless against magic including ele force, there are just simply better options for improving survival. I like to wear plate but i think that is more of a cosmetic thing for me personally.

Outside of the OP post, the only thing I have gotten out of this entire topic is "leechweaver".

Found a decent meta socket helm a while ago on AH. Only noticed today socket bonus goes to 3 Intellect in BGs:

Having seen hundreds of games now for SL and seen who knows how many other healers on the charts... there is zero chance you are doing your maximum protentional as a healer if you are not using the circle of flame... I don't care which spec/class you use.

If you are doing your job, you will run out of mana... if you are doing a half assed job you won't... end of story.

circle is a "win-more" or "lose more" item for most BGs under most circumstances.

it shines in those silvermine games where the two sides are quite even.

The win more and the lose more account for a less/more than 1% total effectiveness... PERIOD. It still has a more than enough amount of int/verse to be 100% on par OR BETTER than the other options, even meta gems and other doodads.

There is zero reason to not use it if you are a healer.

These arguments against BiS items are getting trivial and annoying. "duuuh I play better so I don't run out of mana!"... no.

In your case where you are doing something other than trying to heal at maximum potential (which you are 10000000000% not doing)... then gear however you want... you could wear an orange construction road cone as a hat, it would not effect your performance in regards to being the most effective healer.

I disagree. I use it almost on cooldown. It extends your effective mana pool and is useful even if you don't get the full effect duration off.

Its just too good not to run arguably the easiest item to regain mana in a meta/xpac as mana hungry as this.

I don't know man, my health goes to 0 before my mana does most of the time. (like 90%+, and i am being conservative)

Just ask any person from stuck at graveyard if you don't believe me.

Yup tence will confirm as he watches me die to his teammates from afar.

Yes, but you also solo que a lot... if you rolled with a full crew of Horde War Machine (not the dumb fuck ones)... you would be healing in a NORMAL capacity where your mana would matter... if you are just running for your life from NoContest while Tence tops him off... sure, LIFE SUCKS... but that is on you as you made the choice to play run rabbit and rely on a bunch of random players that are not worth healing... instead of que properly (regardless of your opinion on premades/small groups or not).

I'm gonna ask politely that you stop derailing my thread simply because something goes against your view of the game. I've seen you play, and generally it doesn't support anyone but yourself. Even by your own admission you heal yourself more than others, which imo defeats the purpose of a healer (which is to support the rest of your team and keep everyone else alive).

You can have your opinions and you can even create your own guides if you want to, but making claims like these that go against what everyone else has tested and continually proven to be the most effective choice is just to stir up drama, which you ask us to avoid with your threads.

I've been nice to you glance. I ask you that you show me the same courtesy.

Queue properly? Interesting choice of words there @JadeFire

Sure tence we can agree to disagree, see you around. (i am not the one derailing your thread if you pay attention to the order of posts here, but whatever.)

Theres another easier way

Step 1: equip plate piece
Step 2: click the cosmetic mog you want applied (dont click apply yet)
Step 3: equip the non plate piece of armor in the same slot by right clicking it in your bags (notice it keeps the cosmetic mog still)
Step 4: click apply.
Step 5: repeat for each piece of non plate armor.

Just tried this - did they fix this recently? haven't been able to get this to work for my paladin
