Can anyone please explain how these WoD assault rares work, do I have to be in the WoD time? and I understand that the assault only happen sometimes, but what I cant figure out is how to tell when theyre there.

The rares are always there unless someone has killed them in which case you just have to wait for the respawn.

Ah I see, I thought they were tied to the assaults, I killed a few rares in WoD but they do not drop 44 ilvl, but ilvl 24, I guess it's only a few that drop the ilvl 44.

question about timewalking, does each era's timewalking get their own rare wod mob phases, or is it just phasingon/phasingoff?

So I've been told that Gorgrond/Spires/Frostfire have different phases for each timeline. Shadowmoon has 1 phase.

what's old and new mean?
someone without a heart is getting 25?
how about someone who has an unequippable heart that hadn't done quests yet?
does trading an item and logging still bring up the quest and get you an unequppable heart?

You can trade azerite item and after relog, quest appear, and you can complete it, but next quest in chain Magni doesn't give.
And don't use the portal to Silitus, or you can fall into texture and then disconnect.

Garrison - BUILD A LUMBER MILL

Unfortunately the Garrison won't advance after building the Barracks at LvL 10. I have (4) 10's all the way through the Glove/Ring Missions and (1) that has Frostfire Ridge complete, still Garrison Level 1. I've ticketed it but no response from Blizz.

Formless Nightmare is really tough to solo!

I need to kill formless nightmare for the wrists he drops, but every time I see him he is level 40 and marked with a skull for my twink so loot never drops, were you able to loot him?

Outside of Barov Caller, are there other garrison building quests that offer similar rewards?

For the record, I don't think the looting mobs rule is in effect. I believe it is the level of the zone that dictates what you can or cannot loot.

Reasons I think this: I was unable to loot level 10 mobs in Spires of Arak as my level 10. With all the level 20s posting about how they have looted formless, that to me says that each zone has a level requirement to be eligible for loot. My guess is within 10 levels of the minimum recommended level for that zone means you can loot.

Once you kill the Talador rare for the strenght ring you dont need to tag it, you will get the ring in the mail!
Matrone of sin might not do that, but I might have just fucked something up during that kiting and killing.

Oh wait a second, only the new gear they drop are nerfed, any geared acquired prior to this hotfix is ilvl 44! I wonder how long that'll last if at all.
