Questions & Answers

I'm updating my Ally shaman's gear and got stuck on what cape to use.

Everyone says use Tumultuous Cape of the Sorcerer (5 armour, 5 intellect, 5 stamina, 5 haste with scaling) and I have been using that in previous patches. But Stitches' Stitchings - Item - World of Warcraft (5 armour, 5 intellect, 7 stamina with scaling) now gives 2 stamina in exchange of that haste.

The haste reduces my Healing Surge's cast time by 0.01 seconds (from 1.50 to 1.49) and the reduction to GCD is probably almost just as small. 2 stamina feels like it'd be a lot more beneficial than shaving off a mere one-hundredth of a second off my casts.

Generally, as a healer, I'd pick haste / crit over Stam. However, in this case, the benefit from stam seems a lot more substantial than the tiny haste I could get instead (armour and int are the same in both). I feel like I should use Stiches' but have heard more people say Tumultuous is better. Am I missing something?

What's your opinion? Which one would you guys equip?

Goesid gives some good advice. I thought I'd weigh in with another consideration or two.

In my limited experience, I think it's not a bad idea to consider what other gear you are using. With feral, spriest, combat, an others' burst I would want a pretty hefty amount of stamina. In general I've been finding that for good survivability I want to have somewhere around 4300 hp at least in BG, and that number might be more when healing. If you don't go AGM or have LFH you really might consider using Stitches. Also, keep in mind the value of that extra stamina goes up if you are using Nature's Guardian and Mark of Tyranny. If I'm comfortable with where I am with stamina, which you may be, then I'd probably use Sorcerer just to round out stats/heals a bit more. If I'm getting blown up more than my heals can keep up with much of the time, I'd use Stitches.

Hope that's not too vague....

Hey guys I just wanted to know.

If I purchased some goodies (mounts/pets) from the blizzard.net store, will it go into my mail and therefore be unobtainable, or go into my inventory or directly into my mount/pet collection?

If it's like the ptr, you'll get it in inventory.

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but is there a guide on the useful options for f2pers to spend their gold on?

My mouseover macro isn't working.

#Showtooltip Roar of Sacrifice
/cast [@mouseover] Roar of Sacrifice

Is there something wrong with how I created it?

There's nothing wrong with that that I can see. Assuming your pet actually has RoS that is.

For comparison, I pulled one of my working rdruid macros out of my WTF:

/cast [@mouseover, help][@player] Swiftmend

Your macro should work.

I think the problem was that i used { } instead of [ ]. Anyways your macro worked well, thanks

As an f2p how can I get to netherstorm? (outland in general).

Do I need to use a deathknight? do I need p2p help?.

I only ask because its the only pet vendor I haven't been to yet.

thanks x.

you need a mage port. ask for shrine, it has portals to everywhere. bind your hearthstone to shrine. die and corpse run a lot in outland. enjoy pet.

You can run it. Most mobs don't run as fast as your mount. You'll probably have to corpsewalk past the zone line between Hellfire and Zangarmarsh, and maybe again between Zangar and Blade's Edge, but it's very doable. I've done it.

If you're going to do it, get every flight point along the way so that you can hit all those candy buckets during Hallow's End as well. I got every flight point in Outlands on Kincaide just running it with a group of like 2-3 other 20s.

I'm sure people have been talking about this for a while, but what race would be the best for a WW monk. I feel that in general it might be the Pandaren because of the 9 Agility food in Peak of Serenity.

I'm curious, for how long has the cash reward for random dungeons been reduced to 20 silver? I just noticed this today.

I just noticed that the horde chopper mount counts for my mount collection, does it mean that if I get horde mounts on horde chars I will progress with mount achievements? In other words, do mount achievements count alliance AND horde mounts now?

i don't think so, while i also hope it to be true
my p2p account mount collection tab show i have a total of 147mounts(alliance and horde mounts) but my achievement record shows i only have 128 mounts
i'll work on my dk this week to get all alliance mount to see if this is true.

maybe the warlord's Deathwheel is a special case, i remember blizzard announce the alliance version you need p2p to buy them(a gold sink), so its would be much fair to the alliance since horde got it free of charge.

Edit: Confirm, you can't add both faction mount to the achievement,
Warlord's Deathwheel IS a special case, i think blizzard still considering to give alliance version free as well.
its in wowhead, but when you try to view 3D, it turn into a horse(?).
cause if a feels like force player to roll alliance and grind 100,000g to buy alliance version.
