how did you find the mana regen for those long mid fights - any spirit gear required?
Basically as Flynn said. You should be mana conscious but your really only at risk in the most extended of team fights. In last weeks series I was scared to learn that you can't drink in wargames, I wore close to max spirit the first game. I ended up taking off one spirit piece after every game and by the last game I was basically in your standard spellpower gear. Still, spirit is really a safe choice where intellect is arguably less important for shaman in 10v10. I say that because you should be overhealing constantly and their base healing is still very good. Intellect/crit really only shine when your team is wiping and there are multiple people below 50%. Of course you can make arguments for every stat in every example but my advice would be to take spirit and haste in places where you aren't losing much else. I generally traded stamina for spirit and crit for spirit. I feel most comfortable giving up stamina where its useless 95% of the time. But I also use astral shift over nature guard. Items like weather beaten fishing hat and pvp ring are good options where you are only trading stamina for spirit. But that's just my preference, I can understand people wanting more insurance I just feel my positioning protects me more than anything. Beyond that I had spirit on neck/cloak/bracer/shield and I could have been fine with less. So my last bit of advice is to roll in with w/e balanced set you feel most comfortable in. For ex. I can't wear slime pads, I feel too strange, even though the math is telling me I should wear them it actually becomes distracting to me when all of a sudden something goes wrong and I'm second guessing my gearing choices. You cant have that kind of doubt in a competitive environment, It affects your reflexes and awareness on levels that cant be measured like statistics. Ok Ill lose people if I go any deeper into gaming psych 101 but the point is: don't go crazy with your new rbg meta multistrike build if your not really confident in it, Id also recommend you have a spirit set built so you can dip out of combat and swap sets if need be.
