Random answer: There was a rumor that wargame battlegrounds could work for F2Ps since 5.2, since the do not require you to turn on your XP anymore. However unlikely, we tested this just in case, but it doesn't work, as before. :(

Would have been awesome.

Would you mind giving a few numbers for how hard things hit
ex.

lightning bolt- x
earth shock - x
TS - x

thanks for the replies so far :)

From our conversations, I think Kibs and I are in agreement on this:

Lightning Bolt: wet noodle
Earthshock: slightly drier noodle
Ts: useful at LM, on FC roof defense squad, above gy/tuntop defense squad, and emergency-keep-em-away-from-ungrabbed-flag-duty

Other than that, it's a utility class, meaning if you're with a team that doesn't have an FC and doesn't have O, you're about as useful as a bandaid in a shark attack. Since you can't really hit or heal -- though you can heal surprisingly well all things considered -- you're a purge machine. But if you don't have anyone to purge FOR, what's the point? Ele is really really fun if you are going to PM with it. But if you're pugging.... well I guess it's a good way to practice managing stress? :)

Max int can probably crit around 450 - 500 which isn't that bad. Lava lash is the wet noodle with around 100 damage non crit. That's on a leather or clothie not mail.

Ok, this brings up a question I've had for a really long time: What on earth is up with int on shams? I can't figure it out. I went max int buff a few rounds -- that means including the WSH +60 buff -- and it made almost no difference. If I get that buff on a mage, it's gg for the alliance. But on elesham... almost nothing. I did see a small handful of 450ish crits over several games, but not enough to be inline with the buffs. Does the int/spellpower/attackpower mechanic have serious DR for shams in general? Or is it something to do with how the mechanic/math works for shams just at low level? I am genuinely lost on this one :)

I assumed because without the sp mace, it hits low. With little int increases it seems the increase is about right.

I uninstalled wow because I had no time to log on, but I have more free time now. Should I start playing this bracket again? Did 5.2 screw it up even more?

More old friends coming back to F2P!!

Well since I can’t make a new thread here Im posting it as a question for now I intended to make a thread but oh well
So I’m posting this in both the f2p and 20-24 sections of the forum because I want to know what’s the attitude for a “20-twink” with both; a f2p gear restricted set, and full pay to play gear, and what qualifies as said gear. I will be twinking a horde mage btw.

For the F2P section I want you guys to respond to what exactly your attitude is for someone of my goals, and what f2p restricted mage gear is.

Would it make much of a difference if i leveled herbalism to the cap at 20 instead of only to 100 but didn't use lifeblood when i was in my f2p set

and other than guild boas, enchants above the 100 enchanting level, is there any other gear im not allowed to use in my f2p set

its not about hit rating im concern.....just wear them to look cool  on my shammy until i get the fishing dailies hat

Err that may have been confusing, but I answered your question and asked one of my own ;p
