Mocha's 19 Rogue Guide

Hey there, just a quick question, if you don't have access to SF, and since Wingblade is no longer obtainable in game, which wep would be the best in OH as sub rogue?

and I am thinking about going with Impish Blade in MH

It's really up to you, but on my sub rogue I'm using Thief's Blade mainly for the 5 agil for the dodge, crit, and ap. A very viable option would be a Mass of McGowan.

Most of this seems accurate although i would like to mention that there are 2 consumables i dont see on your list that I personally run. first elixir of lesser agility if you are comfortable with your hit situation and want more topend damage, the pattern used to be a rarer drop but ive gotten it first run, twice now from Gnomer. The second is elixir of defense which says +60 armor in the proff book but only provides a +40 armor buff which you can have on at the same time as the agi or hit flasks. Also, the best races for rogues may have been undead and belf but only until goblins came around. Rocket boots practicly gives us disengage and the barrage hits like a truck also cant go wrong with the Time is Money 1% increased attack speed (since you seem to think combat is pvp viable....rofl) this stacked with a lifeblood use makes fighting pallys and priests far less painful.

8. Some of your consumables people may not know how to get/use. May want to add somthin there IE Dark Rune can be used to get to the GY faster and down the EFC as he comes out of your base.

Basically anything is better than thief's blade. Go BoA mace/dagger/stillwater's dagger/impish blade/tailspike/AB/protector's sword before you use TB.

I think I'll go with BoA sword MH and mace oh, I've heard that slow weps should be the best for ambush burst and high dmg on sinister strike. although I will keep one or two daggers in bag for backstab.

Does that sound reasonable?

Absolutely, there isn't much reason for going dual daggers though, I'd make sure to get impish blade + 15 agility. And the boa sword / mace are amazing.

Slow weps are best for initial burst after ambush, my point is that TB is

One Of the worst choices you can make.

Very Nice guide mate, but I still can't decide on what to role as, I used to role as combat before I took a long break, and thinking about making a new rogue once I bought my shadowfangs

I'd suggest roll sub for a week or so, and then try out combat. I just really love rogues who don't sit there and just shadowstep + ambush, but instead are actually useful out of stealth. With combat your sinister strikes will actually do damage again, your thrown + poison proc can hit for over 200, your recuperate will be more substantial and you can pull off some amazing scenarios with blade flurry, which for example, does direct damage to both the healer and flag carrier. With blade flurry it's very easy to do enough damage to the healer and flag carrier to the point where the healer will be more concerned with his own health, if you kick that heal, he's dead. Gl =)

Cool guide; I glanced at it then realized I had a rogue I was leveling who is at 19 atm, and also have Foreman's Gloves + Lynx feet on my bank alt. Guess I'm rolling a 19 rogue!

Combat: I haven't seen any SFs for a while (nor have any), but I am curious, would a mass of mcgowan with pyrium weapon chain (it works on BoAs; hardcap white hit) surpass SF for offhand? With that setup you could even forget about Ellio's Band and just go Argas/PvP ring, as well as change out JP shoulders for HP shoulders (more AP + resil to balance stam loss) for more straight damage.

I have not played around with the weapon chain atm, but I would assume you would do much more damage overall if you are not missing... so I would suggest that it would do far more damage in the long run than a sf offhand. Also I would suggest sticking to pve shoulders unless you are stacking resil. It would make such a minuscule difference in terms of damage reduction if you only have a few from the shoulders.
